To many observers, that's a way of saying Fox is a conservative foil to what some believe is the liberal-leaning mainstream news media. A fascinating document from the early-1970s, obtained by CNN from the Nixon Presidential Library, is entitled "A Plan for Putting the GOP on TV News." The memo openly says it's an idea to avoid "the censorship, the priorities and the prejudices of network news selectors and disseminators." (CNN) – Anthony Weiner may be giving up his seat in Congress, but he will still retain a substantial war chest of campaign contributions, which experts say he is not required to return.
His latest Federal Election Commission filing, for the end of March, showed $365,670 cash on hand in his Congressional account. In addition, his New York City filing, as a candidate for mayor in 2013, showed he was leading the field with just over $4,515,756 cash on hand as of the end of last year.FULL STORY
