Exclusive: Clinton & Panetta on Situation Room

(CNN) - On Wednesday, Wolf Blitzer will sit down for a rare joint interview with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Defense Secretary Leon Panetta at NATO headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. In the exclusive interview they will discuss Afghanistan, Iran, Syria, North Korea and the presidential election.

Panetta and Clinton are traveling to Brussels for a meeting with NATO ministers to discuss withdrawal strategy from Afghanistan.

Wolf will anchor from Brussels Tuesday and Wednesday. The interview will air 4-6 pm Wednesday in The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer on CNN.

BLITZER'S BLOG: Obama's Hail Mary Option

(CNN) – I was listening to an interview on “The View” the other day with Vice President Joe Biden, who was asked whether he would definitely be President Obama’s running mate next year. “I haven’t figured out how not to be,” he said with a smile.

At this point, I certainly agree Biden will be on the ticket. For one thing, I know from all my White House sources that the president is very high on him and deeply appreciates his advice. The two men get along very well. They have been a solid team.

BLITZER’S BLOG: My interview with former President Bill Clinton

Chicago (CNN) - Former President Bill Clinton says he fully expects that President Barack Obama will be re-elected. He says he likes Republican presidential candidates Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman and says he’s not surprised at Michele Bachmann’s rise in the polls, saying: "She comes across as real."

During a lengthy interview with me in Chicago at his Clinton Global Initiative America conference on creating jobs, he also got emotional when I asked him about his wife, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He says she's "the most gifted person" he knows in public service. "I’m really proud of her."
