I think Mark Cuban should get some props for being honest, and saying what a lot of people are afraid to say. On that topic, it has become a "PC or die" reality lately, and that's as frightening, maybe moreso, than having to hear people's honest, if often unpleasant, points of view and/or prejudices.
Expecting human beings, imperfect creatures that have different cultures, upbringings, experiences, and imaginations, to all follow on type of behavior is delusional. People's rights certainly must be protected, but the number of small slights and minor incidents that are now instant national uproars...it's insane, and can't continue much longer.
I think Sterling is a creepy, bigoted jerk that should deal with a reality in which none of the people he's offended will want to work for him any longer. I think the lifetime ban is showing a lack of tolerance in and of itself, and that there should be some kind of amends or restitution possible for what was a couple of conversations...one of which, with an obvious and scheming gold-digger.
We all have irrational fears, thoughts, and tendencies...but our actions must be what we're judged by, at least at the legal or societal levels. The recent trends have gotten very close to an Orwellian nightmare, and I know that a "thought police" reality would doom mankind.
