CNN's Fareed Zakaria forecasts what President Obama meant in saying, "there will be costs" for Russian intervention.
The primary cost Russia will pay is Republicans in the USA, trashing President Obama over it, which won't bother Putin much since, he more than likely has determined that the anti Russian propaganda constantly spewed forth by the USA is continual regardless of his attempts to appease the USA. I am confident that President Obama will choose the best way of diplomatic options to conclude here and I thank God we don't have a mindless Republican in charge.
John Kerry will bring his checkbook to Kiev and offer money we need here at home. Perhaps Putin's plan is to have the United States pay for the economic development of his favorite satellite nation. The US taxpayers will bear the cost of not having a military option.
With all due respect, Mr. Zakaria does not know what he is talking about in this clip.
Russia has been bullying its neighbours at least since 2008 and openly claims to regain its domination over the former ZSSR sphere – meaning returning to the soviet style oppression of all its neighbors. It is stupid and naive to pretend that poore Russia is concerned about its minorities. This is appeasement of the tyrant that always leads to war. Wake up US. It can only got worse if you listen to those who have no idea what is really going on in the world.
