The 2016 Contenders: Marco Rubio

It's winter 2014, and the next presidential race is very far away. But already, the top contenders for the White House are positioning themselves for the spotlight - in what will be a crowded and exciting race.

Once dubbed the "Savior of the Republican Party," Sen. Marco Rubio is among the head of that pack. The freshman from Florida made a passionate push for immigration reform in 2013, and in recent weeks, he's been polishing his foreign policy credentials, becoming a vocal critic of the regime in Venezuela and its crackdown on protestors. While his Latino roots and young, fresh face could make him appealing to the GOP, he has a long road ahead to prove he's a capable executive and mature leader.

In the first of our "The 2016 Contenders" series, Wolf Blitzer sat down with Rubio for an extensive interview, about national security, politics, foreign policy, and the White House. Check out what he has to say about foreign policy and decide for yourself - does he sound like presidential material to you?
