You asked why former Bush administration members would not say that going into Iraq was a mistake. Even Bob Gates would not give straight answer. If it was a mistake that was accepted by former officials, it would not be possible to blame Obama for the current state of affairs in Iraq. It must be Obama's fault that a poorly thought-out plan in 2003 is going badly in 2014.
