Patriots of the our country is quite simple to recognize, our military and veterans should not be the target of a government out of control. We need to begin cuts with the waste that our government has so become fond of and does not wish to give up. Limit the terms of congress, stop special interest groups that lobby for our tax dollars, prevent companies that profit billions of dollars from uncontrolled projects that grow into billions above original contract. Eliminate people who are not qualified for positions they hold, and inherited the position because of political favor. This list could go on forever. But don't include the real patriots who are willing to give all for us. Let's stop our elected people who most of them serve themselves and their family . Just think what a short term a congressman serves for a retirement, com paired to a military man and his years of service to receive his small pension. Why do we continue to tolerate this kind of behavior in our government? This is our government, not theirs. We thee people can change this kind of disrespect our congress has shown for our patriots, whose dedication has given us the very freedoms we so enjoy.

Just to be clear: This effects anyone currently serving, Officer and Enlisted, or anyone retired who is under the age of 62. The DOD has publically announced this will also effect disabled verterans. In short: If you are under age 62, and on any kind of military retirement: You will have your COLA reduced by 1%. With COLA already at an pre-established level, the ability of purchasing power will be significantly reduced. Estimates place the loss of income to be between $84,000 and over $100,000.
With an American Population of 313 million, and less than 1% EVER serve, and less than 17% of those who serve EVER reach retirement...this is an significantly aimed proposal to attack military members, after Congress and the POTUS promised not to effect current military retirment benifts.

This is like a father (Congress) who refuses to get help for his gambling problem (out-of-control spending) who instead tells his kids (veterans) that they will have to go without lunch money (benefits) because the family budget (national debt) is in trouble. Pitiful.
