Michele Bachmann says she lost health coverage under Obamacare and will wait until the deadline to apply for coverage.
Michele Bachmann is either out of touch or stupid. A family member just today called the toll free number to sign up for insurance under the Affordable Care Act as our state of Pennsylvania does participate in this program. She had an extremely positive experience – absolutely no "wait" time before a representative came on the line. The representative was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and sign up took approximately 30 minutes. Perhaps Ms. Bachmann should join the real world and get on the phone to receive the healthcare she claims she so desperately needs – it works SO stop putting negative comments out to the public - we are getting sick and tired and all the lies and deceit.
Poor Michele lost her health insurance under Obama Care!
Good, maybe now the ultimate DB will get some horrid disease and die from lack of medical care or insurance just like millions of other Americans do all the time because evil petty minded people like her do everything they can to keep them from getting decent health care!
I call B.S. on Bachmann... but even IF she is telling the truth... That she and her husband are currently without medical insurance then she is a bigger doofus that I first thought and she also hasn't even tried the ACA website. I got through the entire website process within 20 minutes without issue. I decided to go ahead and sign up for an AHA plan through my employer but I could have chosen a plan that cost $150 / month or up to $450 a month. She's gonna be fine and is just playing stupid so she gets another 3 minutes of camera time. I hope she's playing...
re: bachmann's insurance. Of course she lost her insurance...she lost her job as a representative. obamacare had nothing to do with it. And furthermore she does not have to get her insurance on the DC exchange. I doubt if she is going to qualify for a subsidy or a tax refund. She can just go to the private insurance market and get insurance.
To make this a balanced story, either you or Begala should have known this and should have called her in the errors she was spouting.
Did nobody on the staff think to mention Bachmann lost her health insurance was because Congress is specifically required by the law to buy their insurance on the exchange.
Bachmann is a resident of Minnesota. Minnesota is one of the states that widely elected to implement their own exchange, MNSure. Why can't she buy health insurance through the state's exchange? Sounds like more Bachmann nonsense. Plus does she really expect us to be upset that she and other members of congress now have to deal with health coverage issues like everyone else in America?
