Where you live could determine whether your options for Obamacare are plentiful or lacking. CNN's Tom Foreman explains.
Wolf – see below the message I have sent to the President, our TN senators and representative. Please keep up the reporting on this very important topic as it affects millions of Americans who have had their current health insurance cancelled because of the new law. Thank you, we turn on CNN every morning and watch it all thru the day.
Mr. President, You should keep your promise regarding the new health care law. My 64 year old husband received a letter from his employer (Brantley Security Services of Nashville, TN) saying his current health insurance no longer met the requirements of the new law and he would have to go to the market place for 2014. He has diabetes and arthritis. He earns only $25,000 per year and pays $87 per month for his insurance which had a limit on how much would be covered per year, but it fit his needs. Now that we finally got on the web site we learned he will have to pay 4 times as much per month – $348. He does not qualify for assistance as they count my income too. We just got married in 2012 and I'm retired. My social security, annuity and IRA is counted as part of his income, so I have to help cover his expenses until he retires next Dec. We are very disappointed and believed you when you promised if he liked his policy he could keep it. My own monthly premium for my medicare supplemental insurance is going up from $26 to $72. We both voted for you and believed in your promises but are saddened at the current state of affairs in Washington, DC. And we wonder if we can ever believe in our elected officials again.
