The United States is still getting rid of its chemical weapons

Watch Drew Griffin's full report on the Utah project above.

Syria has been given a year to eliminate its chemical weapons arsenal, or face the threat of a U.S. military strike. Yet it may come as a surprise that the United States has still not destroyed all of its massive supply of deadly nerve agents.

In fact, neither has Russia. Both Washington and Moscow signed the Chemical Weapons Convention of the 1990s, which forbid the use, production and stockpiling of chemical weapons.

As a Canadian, I honestly can't believe what I see and hear from US politicians who act as spoiled and corrupt individuals. Their political interests, on both sides, matter more than the economy and welfare of their own country! Incredible! This is not a hockey game and that reminds of a sports broadcaster who always concluded his show with the following line: "IT'S NOT IF YOU WIN OR LOSE, BUT HOW YOU PLAY THE GAME." It speaks volumes. Wake up America. Countries are laughing at you!

    Mr blitzer
on your media coverage of the the debates in progress about the government shutdown......Why do you alway refer to the he healhcare act as "OBAMA CARE" when in fact it is the 'AFFORDABLE CARE ACT" It seems that by always using this expression, you are casting little subtle digs at the President. Why is the media is more interestied in hyping things
instead of telling it like it is;??? I am sure that you and your staff are not effected by this current situation, and all of you
have adequate indomes and very good health insurance. It sounds like you are more interested in boosting your own and ego and maybe a chance at another Emmy???

It is called The Affordable Care Act. Republicans originally coined it "Obamacare" as a pejorative slur. Why does CNN, especially Mr. Blitzer, continue to call it Obamacare instead of the Affordable Care Act? This is supposed to be a news station and objectivity used to count. Please use the actual name and not the pejorative slur.
