Wolf Blitzer delivers the most important breaking news and political, international, and national security stories of the day. Tune to The Situation Room weekdays 5-7pm ET on CNN.
There continue to be glitches in the Obamacare insurance exchange program's online sign-up, and new reports say the Obama administration was warned the site was not ready to be rolled out. CNN's Brian Todd investigates.
Stop calling it Obamacare and refer to it by the real name, Affordable Health Care.
I also agree that the Republicans should be fired or impeached. They need to stop this nonsense right now. I am mad as he'll!!!
It's probably difficult for people who have health insurance, such "people with insurance" including CNN employees who can afford medical care, to understand how important the ACA is to poor working people and self-employed people. Even with health insurance, people who make $20 an hour or less usually cannot afford to pay co-pays. Ity makes me sad to see people doing well, like Wolf Blitzer and other "newspeople", be so insensitive to people who work hard and either cannot afford healthcare or cannot afford to use it. Shame on reporters and others who live in a world where they can get and use healthcare, while wanting to delay the same benefit to others who work just as hard or harder.
Brain, next time you interview Simas and he gives you the canned answer "...let's look at it compared with what a person needs to do today...fill out 30 pages..etc." make sure to point out ONE KEY THING and get an answer to this....assuming this sign on problem continues and consumers are unable to log on after multiple times...WILL THEY HAVE TO PAY THE PENALTY OBAMA CARE imposes on them in less than 6 months? (THIS IS A KEY FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCE YOU ARE MISSING IN YOU PROBE AND QUESTIONING AND LETS THEM OFF THE HOOK)
What are the lifetime numbers on the average of disability recipients compared to social security recipients...
The fuzz over Obama care or affordable care by the GOP is to protect the interest of their lobbyist insurance and pharmaceutical companies. Not American people, in general, since the cost of Obama care is only partial tax credit of the premium for low income people. This is minimal compare to the loss of profit for the giant insurance companies and pharmaceutical industry, which can no longer deny coverage or cancel coverage, as freely as it could before. In the past, the Insurance and pharmaceutical companies, in order to protect their lavish profit and control over the health industry, would collect a hefty premium but when it came time to pay for the coverage, would deny and cancel with impunity. Affordable care does not go well with the greedy insurance and pharmaceutical companies, lobbyist of the GOP member, who are also profiteer doctors or stock holders of these vicious companies, satisfying their greed at the price of degrading health of ordinary Americans.
I think this is a necessary question for all of us to ask ourselves............Please explain logically why everyone should not have the same health care coverage. I do not see why any one person should have better health care than another. It actually does not make any sense unless you think it should be survival of the richest..........
Does a rich person DESERVE better health care than a poor or average person in terms of financial wealth?
What amazes me are the steps taken by the GOP to derail the ACA, including the 40+ votes in Congress and an attempt to defund the law. This Congress has accomplished almost nothing in years, except oppose the President at every turn. I actually saw the webpage of the Republican National Committee that is pointing out the 37% approval rating for the President, despite their +/- 5% approval rating for Congress. Such hypocrisy from elected officials. I for one am looking forward to the mid term elections, when we can VOTE THE BUMS OUT.
