to neg. both sides must be willing to give a little on something. to ask that something of only one party be totally wiped out leaves no room for neg. both party must give up something. since the w.h. has given up on the budget amount, it is now time for the reps to give up something. like mom will let you stay up late tonight if u make an a on your test tomorrow.
I have worked since I was 16. I put myself through school and have worked diligently as a federal employee since 2002. I have never asked for public assistance, but this morning I had to file for unemployment. I know my coworkers had to do the same. I felt so much shame. I just want to go back to work. I don't want handouts, I just want to earn my living the old fashion way. I really wish I could just look these people in the eye while they explain to me why they are hurting so many people. I have worked hard for the American people, can congress say the same. I don't think so.
I recently took a civilian Contracting job at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. I previously worked at the Ohio Auditor of State. In may, I graduated with my Master of Business Administration from the University of Akron. I packed up everything I owned, finally able to afford to move out of my parents house into an apartment. The only problem was I had two weeks to find a place down near Dayton. I took an apartment, and was forced to sign onto a lease. 200 dollars of cleaning the place up myself I found it had a bug problem. Now, three weeks into my new job - I don't have one. I've been furloughed and now have no idea how I'm going to afford my student loans when they come due next month. The uncertainty is ridiculous. People will try to console me and tell me they understand how difficult the situation is - but they really don't. Unless you know what it's like being 85 grand in debt and have a plan to work it off in five years - sacraficing the entire time - having to put off a family, purchases, major life milestones that other friends have been able to do...It's frustrating. Those of the same age I see pictures of their third and fourth vacation, meanwhile I'm hoping I'm able to afford the roof over my head. I don't ask for handouts, don't expect them - In fact, I'm humble. I was lucky enough to save enough money to be able to ride this out - but I know many more who are not so fortunate. The "leaders," of this nation are out of touch with reality, their multi-million dollar businesses on the side making them unfit for being in touch with the great majority of this nation. If they don't get it together soon the fate of this nation will soon hang in the balance.
