Government shutdown gives us déjà vu

What do Monica Lewinsky and a government shutdown have in common? CNN's Jeanne Moos compares 2013 to 1995.

I am curious why we hear next to nothing from the media about the many government shutdowns that occurred under tip O'Neill, a Democrat?
We hear incessantly about Newt Gingrich, but little to nothing about Tip O'Neill and his shutdowns.

The Congress and the Supreme Court have voted with majority votes that the healthcare bill is law. Does the Tea Party not believe in majority rule? Does the Tea Party believe U.S. citizens should accept and fund only laws we each agree with? Will this not lead to anarchy and a non-functional government?

A solution for the DEBT LIMIT CRISIS from an unpaid Presidential advisor
Sent to POTUS and the Speaker
A very simple solution to end the crisis where everybody wins.
Separate the latest bill that the Speaker into two SEPARATE bills to be sent to the Senate
1st bill raise the debt limit with no contingencies
2nd Separate bill with have 2 provisions for ObamaCare
    A. Extend the mandate provision for 1 year
    B. Remove the exemption for members of Congress etc
    NO other provisions.
The Senate can accept either 1 or both of the bills then as is
If they accept both then both are sent to POTUS, who can sign either 1 or both bills without a gun to his head
    Now POTUS has the football
Let us see if he can make a touchdown
Everybody wins – even the conservative TPARTY republicans.
