"I just don't know... I have no idea."
A friend of Aaron Alexis, the man officials have identified as the dead Navy Yard shooter, speaks to CNN's Ed Lavandera in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Surely the question "who let this man have clearance" is secondary to the question "who let this man buy a gun?' The answer is The American People who now, finally, need to take responsibility for all these unnecessary shooting sprees. Stop looking for scapegoats, America, and change your minds on guns.
Pls check into army waivers issued to 30 percent of the enlisted people beg. of the Iraq war>
This is an another example of the systemic failure of security in the US. We are suppose to have a layered system of checks and balances yet a mentally deranged man who had numerous incidents of misconduct was continually dealt with by administrators with soft gloves. He had 8 incidents of misconduct in the military and later incidents of firearm crimes. In his evaluations weak supervisors who were afraid of him wrote raving review about his potential not his actual behavior. The the police ID him as with mental issues and contact the Navy. Yet no action. The President says the buck stops with him then..Mr. President tighten up your ship!!!! The Direcotor at OPM should be FIRED!
Doesn't anyone see a pattern here??? All these gunmen are basically nice, are said to have mental health issues, are away from there homes for a periods of time, are said to have been involved in video games of violence....this is crazy. After speaking to a few people, a few with military experience, believe these guys are being programmed into violence. How they become involved or lured into this is another story. Maybe somebody should find out!
