Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Michael Vincent explains his country's reaction to the murder of Chris Lane.
I heard this morning that someone was urging Pres Obama to "condemn" the murder of that young Australian. The Pres offered a perfectly reasonable statement in response to such an awful thing. – What I dislike is the new tendancy to demand "Condemnation" for this or that outrageous occurance. We seem to forget that Only God Condemns. – Our judges Sentence people to whatever it is they do under the Law, and they can condemn someone to a Physical Execution under the Law. – But we must remember not to throw the word 'Condemn' around lightly. We overstep our spiritual bounds when we do that. – Only God can Condemn.
This is senseless killing. There does need to be outrage over this. Nomatter if a black or white person is murdered, solutions need to be found about guns. How did they get these guns? Gunshows? Trafficked into the state? Just as in the Zimmerman case their needs to be more thoughts and action taken in getting guns out of hands of potential criminals and prosecuting those who are negligent.
This almost shooting at the elementary school should have an all the above approach. Maybe a security guard or responsible adult should be armed. The gunman shouldn't have been able to purchase that type of gun, limits on ammo, . also his mental psyche should have disqualified him. Gunshow loopholes....ect., And the Republican congress has blood on their hands every time these shootings go on because they refuse to correct the laws which would greatly affect senseless shootings
The shooter at the elementary school "borrowed" (read: stole) the weapon he intended to use – so what then? Gun control isn't going to keep weapons out of the hands of criminals.
This stupid, random killing of Human Beings shall continue in America, until you all come to your senses and get rid of the Guns! And don't Quote me the 2Nd. Amendment, 'The Right to bear Arms' stuff! That was made in the context of the day, Hundreds of years ago! It does not mean you have the right in America to have a Colt 45 in your Briefcase along with your Lunch! I have relatives in America and I have not visited them since 1976, simply because of the Gun Problem. Just think of how much Tourism Money America is losing because of its "Right To Bear Arms!"
You make it sound like it's cowboys and indians over here with people rioting in the streets with guns everywhere. Don't be ridiculous, and stop watching FOX news.
