Police are tracking where you drive
Police around the United States are recording the license plates of passing drivers and storing the information for years with little privacy protection, the American Civil Liberties Union said Wednesday.
The information potentially allows authorities to track the movements of everyone who drives a car.

I am residential property manager. Did you know private companies use the same camera technology that was shown in the CNN story, to capture information? Not long ago a private car with those square camera’s mounted on its engine hood and rear truck lid, was driving the parking lot (private property) of our apartment complex. The driver was scanning all of the car plates. If a car was parked in backwards the driver was getting out, in order to write down the license plate number in order to enter it into his data base. The driver told me his company sells the data to insurance companies and to police agencies. He gets a bonus if he finds a stolen car that is recovered directly from his efforts. Now that’s Big Brother going too far.
