it's just unfathomable that he can put that burden on taxpayers just to have an election a couple weeks before. that money could go back in the pockets of tax payers or to the high speed rail system. his selfishness is costing everybody els 12 million. He is far from worth 12 million

This is the heart of the Republican Party, they claim to believe and stand for things....fiscal responsibility, until irresponsibility benefits them and then they wholeheartedly don't care. This is kind of surprising because Christie has stuck to his principles in a lot of things but to suddenly catch a brain freeze when it's about self is a red flag and very alarming especially if he wants to be president....the question would be what would he so easily sell out for.

Christie has been the only shining light for the Republican Party and this decision, even surprises me . I do applaud his stand for a special election, whilst I remain dubious as to his motive to maybe suck in some Democratic voters in 2014. It appears that President Obama's methods and plans are starting to pull us out of the abyss that the idiot Bush 2 drove us into and that many of us will not forget in our lifetimes. It's a nice start for us to build trust with one Republican (Christie), but we must remember he is still a Republican and our country can ill afford another Republican President. We suffered long enough do to the scourge of Bush 2 and Cheney and the current Republican Congress and Senators, that have held up our recovery every step of the way, through the most dishonorable, deplorable and vile ways, I for one have ever witnessed. They continue even today with promoting false scandals to get in the way of progress and if the voters of the USA are smart, they will vote Democratic for decades to come. Even though the current Republicans are of the vilest forms of human life on our planet, may we never forget Bush2 & Cheney, for their lies, and criminal actions we are still paying for and will continue to for a very long time.
