Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Diseases, explains to Wolf Blitzer why the flu is so bad this year and what you can do to protect yourself.
In Jamaica West Indies they always tell us 'drink lime juice and salt'. I couldn't drink it so I drank lime juice and sugarand it always worked. Honey is also supposed to be good for Influenza.
I have not gotten a flu shot this year. Maybe I will. For years & years I did get one & never got the flu so I can't claim that it doesn't work. But I do wonder where the shots are manufactured? The medication itself? The syringes? In a few months will we hear that thousands of them were contaminated w/some sort of fungus? Or may contain microscopic bits of glass? Or other contaminants?
Sorry but I no longer trust the drug manufacturing process. Especially when it comes to drugs that must be injected.
It's unclear why most (media) are saying we have not peaked in this Flu season, when the CDC data clearly indicates that we did in week 51.The # of confirmed cases in week 52 was significantly less.Perhaps Dr Fauci could clarify this.
Another very simple thing you can do after washing hands is to use paper towels or other disposable material for drying your hands. You can wash all you want but as soon as you touch that linen towel, you pick up the "germs" again!.
