There are approximately 3 billion pizzas sold in the United States every year. If each one of those pizzas will now cost an extra $.14/pizza that's an additional cost to the pizza industry of $420,000,000!!!!! That's just the increase in costs to the pizza industry! Seriously??!! We all know these costs will be passed along to the consumer. Not just the increase costs of pizza but of clothing; construction material; groceries; healthcare products; household needs; etc. If one industry will face increased costs of $420,000,000 annually, what will all those industries combined be?

Isn't it interesting that a new comer to the 2012 Campaign, is already (less than 1 week) not answering questions as to what he and Romney will do differently than Obama? When he was asked by CCN what he/Romney will do about Medicare reform, he answers by what Obama is doing. Unbelievable! I just wish the candidates would answer the questions with their "own ideas" and not everyone else's record or ideas.

Hi, Wolf, Americans have to choose in this 2012 election between WAR and PEACE.
If the Obama administration can stabilize security and make the world to smile at Americans again, He will do more on economy in his second term. Electing people that will send American troops to war every now and then will never solve American problems.

Actually this is false. A little analysis shows that at that right, each employee would only be making less than 2 pizzas an hour. If his operation is that inneficient, he has bigger problems than health care costs.

In reality, employees do other things too, like fixing salads and making subs. That is most of his revenue. He is just apportioning the cost to Pizzas. That is like saying "anchovy pizzas are going to increase $2.00 per pizza" because he is going to pay for the plan soly by increasing the cost of one type of pizza.

It is just a bunch of BS and is being mentioned now to influence the election.

What a great idea! Let's start taxing pizza!!! That is a brilliant solution and cuts right to the heart of the problem of obesity in America which is the number one thing driving up the cost of health care. Thank you CEO of Papa John's. If you hadn't made a point of voicing your opinion, we might never have thought of this.

American obesity rates, and diabetes are soaring, largely due to our addiction to high carb, fast food, which in no small way includes pizza.

I also remembered that recently another big fast food chain sought changes in Congress to allow food stamps to be used in their restaurants. Yet Republicans want to rail against the "entitlement" society at the same time.

Obamacare has about 20 new taxes that will affect every breathing person in the United States. What liberals will never tell their viewers is that companies do not pay taxes they either pass them on or fire employees in order to make a profit. I know that CNN and the President feel profit is a dirty word but without it you end up like Solyndra. I am a small businessman and I told the guy who travels with me that if Obama gets elected the best he will do is what he has nw. However if Romney gets elected I would be willing to put him on his own route of which he would need a new employee and sowould I . I know it`s not much but I am one of 900,000 small businesses Obama`s 2% that probally will find another way to make money.

The CEO of Papa John's claims Obamacare could raise prices 11-14 cents a pie. If that his thing raising the price would stop people from that buying that cholesterol fill piza, it would a cure for people suffering from obesity, it would lower cholesterol across the nation, it would a good new for people suffering from obesity, so let this Romney supporter rise his prices, this is a good health notice.
