CNN's Dana Bash delves into the best and worst of a possible Condoleezza Rice selection for vice president.
Worst political momnet of Romney's career ever. Boehner is the man of the hour for getting the concessions that he did. Romney was mostly absent during this whole fiasco, and now he comes in and arm chair quarter backs. Talk is cheap Mr. Romney. But you weren't there, and all you have is your empty rhetoric. It is a really awful field of candidates when you are the best we have.
It would be foolish for C. Rice to go from a position of power, knowledge and being independent of the whole septic political circle in Washington. She's been there, done that and has, intelligently moved on to less polluted waters. For her sake, I hope she continues to avoid the sewer of D.C. I hope she's smart enough to not play into being looked on as the second fiddle position, having no power, no say. Romney would only be using her as a political pawn; nothing more.
I've always thought Condi Rice would make a great President. I wasn't surprised at all to hear she was being considered for VIP. I didn't hear anyone saying that Biden was selected because he's white, but we heard plenty about how Sarah Palin was selected because she's a woman. Please, at least come up with a more original fake rumor.
Condy Rice is a nice enough lady, but was a non starter as Secy of State...the least effective Secy in decades. She would be a non starter for Romney who is among one of the worst ideas the USA has had in decades! Wjhere do we d=ssind thesse people?
shelly
WOULD GIVE THIS "extremely low odds" - Somewhere between SLIM and NONE, Wolf! 😉
The only game changer in Town is Lesley Graham. He is bright, attractive, charasmatic, well spoken, has a perfect background, know the issues inside out, helps in the South, helps with Independents. Its a no brainer unless you have the former cast of Hee Haw for a campaign team.
She cannot be trusted and she was not that good with the bush adminisstration.A big NEGATIVE.NO AND UNHUH.Jim Thomas Phx.Az.
he supports in the cmiong debates.I refused to vote for McCain because he was moving the wrong direction (not as fast as Obama, but still the wrong direction at a slower speed). To those of you who voted for him (on the grounds of lesser of two evils), imagine what would be going on now if he won. He would be the republican candidate, and then we'd have even a bigger socialist as the other candidate for the democrats so two bad choices two elections in a row! However, it seems like Romney is moving at least 75% the right direction. Shutting down unconstitutional federal departments over socialized programs, such as education, social security, healthcare, etc., and turning it over to the states is a step in the right direction, as is bringing home troops from oversea bases. For the primary, I support Paul because I think he is 95% the right direction, but if Romney gets the nomination, I think I'd vote for him.
Wolf, Condoleezza Rice is a very smart women, and known dough very qualify. She is not a politicization and would not be able to take the heat. She can not control her face expression when she is displease and she is a control frisk by nature, it would drive her nut with reporters like you who ask the same questions over and over again, and she told you she is not interested in running, but you are so busy asking questions you do not lesson. PS if Romney dose come up with tax return, he will be dead in the water and then the GOP will be looking for better candidates, like Mad Boehner and his smiley side kick Cantor!
Who does Romney think he is, only 2 years of tax returns for the Presidency of the U.S.!! He has the most questions out of any candidate in recent history and he wants to release the lease which is a slap in the face to Americans. So, in other words, we wouldn't know much about his taxes, policies, character, religion, exc., until he has the job......He needs to release atleast 12 years, explain and take credit for Bain, and tell specifically about his policies he would enact.
Condo. is a beautiful person......I think she would be a great VP. But......I am afraid Romney is just looking for votes.
Sometimes a person can just STUMBLE into a good thing. I hate to say it but I have the feeling Romney is just about willing to do anything to win the election. If he wins, he may not choose Condo. but it makes for great press NOW.
Romney quite screwing around and sell your sole to the devil, in exchange for the next President.
