Powell favors same-sex marriage

(CNN) – Gen. Colin Powell said Wednesday on CNN's "The Situation Room" that he supports legal same-sex marriage, either at the state or federal level.

"I have no problem with it," he said in the interview, which will air at 5 p.m. ET. "In terms of the legal matter of creating a contract between two people that's called marriage, and allowing them to live together with the protection of law, it seems to me is the way we should be moving in this country. And so I support the president's decision."

I think Gen. Colin Powell is still a Little piss a George Bush and Dick Chaney, when they burn him on the Iraq arms of mass destruction that he presented to the UN.

Powell believes in same sex civil unions, just like the vast majority of Americans. Just don't call it marriage.

Why is it that whenever you see a video clip of a same sex couple getting married they look like they are 60 years old or older?

But what isn't said in this story is that Powell is not prepared to endorse Mr. Obama as he did in 2008. The article is essentially a smokescreen for that fact, to create the illusion that Powell supports Mr. Obama which he does not.

Why does no one ever discuss why God made a Man and a woman and told them to be fruitful and mulitply. He made a woman to be man's partner. If he wanted two men to marry and multiply he would not have made a woman and if he had wanted two women to marry, he would not have made a man. Why does noone get that. It just shocks me that noone understands that. You never hear it being discussed either by gay rights groups or by the media. Time to bring it up

just me & you Posted on I do family hirosty research. First of all start in the area where she grew up. Start by looking for her Mother Father, siblings. Best friends in school. Then go to your local court house and ask for a marriage license in her name. I also go to face book and enter names.I enter name in the white pages sometime you can find people that way.

If god did not want homosexuality then why did he create it? Why does god continue to create human beings who love someone who is the same gender as they are?

marriage is a man made concept, like the bible. not everyone believes in religion, or god.
the institution of marriage is not that old relative to how long people have been inhabiting the earth, and it has many variations by country, culture religion and belief system.
if 2 ppl love each other and want to commit to each other, i think that is something people of the world should celebrate, regardless of sexuality.
just because people aren't use to something doesn't mean it's wrong: emancipation, woman's right to vote and choose, civil rights...the list goes on. there are worse things to worry about and far more pressing than this in america and around the globe

Yes, I agree isn't that the root or the foundation those who wonder if it's right or wrong should be discussing; take notice of the "plumbing" something should click, something should make them see that the're not made for each other, same sex is "twisted!" Think about it when they do what they do, it's sooooo wrong.
