Blitzer to interview Afghan President Hamid Karzai
CNN's Wolf Blitzer sits down with Afghan President Hamid Karzai for an exclusive interview at the NATO summit in Chicago. This will air Monday during the 5pm ET hour on CNN.
On Monday, NATO countries are expected to sign off on President Obama's exit strategy from Afghanistan that calls for an end to combat operations next year and the withdrawal of troops by the end of 2014.
Karzai met with President Obama on Sunday and both agreed that the end of the war is close. Karzai reiterated his commitment to the withdrawal timetable, "so that Afghanistan is no longer a burden on the shoulder of our friends in the international community, on the shoulders of the United States and our other allies."
Blitzer is anchoring "The Situation Room" live from Chicago today from 4-6pm ET on CNN.

Just saw your interview with Karzai – I dont understand what you felt the need to be rude/aggressive when asking questions. You will never get the truth by interrogating someone. I have seen this as a common trend among CNN reporters.
Also, as the president of a country, does Karzai not deserve some respect? Would you ask the President of the United States to apologize to another country on national television?

President Obama should hire Afghan President Hamid Karzai to negotiated with house speaker John Beodner on the increase the nations dead ceiling. This guy is good he got 28 nations to give Afghan and him money to live on for 2 years to end the war and 10 years after that. He will have retirement for life for his service. Even Donald Trump or Mitt Romney can brag about this deal.
How much are you paying him? Surely Karzai isn't giving an interview for free! Why are you even interviewing Bush's corrupt puppet anyway?
