CNN's Brian Todd reports on a government study on the effects of a 10-kiloton nuclear bomb blast in the heart of D.C.
Not a fair question as in 196? I was part of a military exercie and and as I was only member that war trained well enough and with a high enough clearance and while only an EM I was stuck within a room full of Brass hats. For 7 days I did all the fallout and damage assesmets of a simulated all out Nuclear attack by China and Soviets upom USA. Some of the areas targeted, such as DC recieved multiple 5 and 10s and guess what, There would of been survivors even back then. Not very many civilians and those who did most likely would die within 90 to 180 days, while Gov would almost all would need rescuing. That is if they, Gov, had 15 to 20 min warning. Wallkng dead are still are assets and millitary to this day believe We and especialy millitary and Gov would survive and US STILL top world power. Remember Chenys shadow Gov? How many would survive today, remember your and my survive is not the same as millitary and Gov definition,we will serve!
Earth have had nuclear attack on city before in it past lot of damage but people find ways to suvive and rebuild. their live and country.
is this before or after Obama gets "flexible" with the Russians?
We spend millions on government funded studies every year........"The Life Span of the Tree Frog" ETC. This study sounds importand to me. Now it will be up to the "powers that be" to do something about it. Don't put in on the shelf with ten thousand other studies. Think of me living on Social Security.....Please spend My money wisely.
