I just heard what Roland Martin said re the child who was killed by the self appointed neighbourhood watch person who had a gun on his person as this Boy passed by! What was he doing with a GUN!!!! It is an outrage that they are trying to make this teen ager the perpetrator! He is a victim and the N word was used towards him! A MAN killed a Teen! The MAN had a GUN! It is ludicrous to be attempting to make the child the perpetrator! Racisms ugly head is in this! No matter if this child has been in any trouble at school– he did not have a GUN and he was walking through a neighbourhood talking on his CELL PHONE with his Girl friend– does that sound as if he was looking for an altercation with a grown man???!!!!!
He wore a Hoodie... how ludicrous is it to even make a comment on that absolutely POPULAR piece of attire in this era! My two young gran daughters and my two grown grand sons wear hoodies and walk through Inner City neighbourhoods all the time, are they suspected to be looking for a problem???!!!!!!
This is a travesty and incredibly sad!!!!
It is a travesty to hear of even in Canada!

Maybe I'm too simple of a man for these modern times but it seems to me that Master Trayvon Martin was shot in a situation that directly and solely falls under the stand your ground law of Florida. My only question is, why has the person who violated his right to stand not being charged? I have not checked but it sounds like Florida's Stand Your Ground law only applies to the last man standing.

This is a sad situation when a young man loses life regardless of the situation. I have seen the protests in downtown St. Louis in the news and here is the confusing thing. There are stories on the news continuously about a black person shooting another black person or firing randomly and killing a child on a porch. This happens here all the time and I don't see the nationwide protests for each and every person or child that loses their live in these situation...why? It is being made into a racial issue by the likes of Al Sharpton and others that want a racial uprising. If I were the parents of the small child that was killed here recently I would be both furious and hurt. All human lives "are created equal" and this is ridiculous. I'm just sayin'........

If the stand your ground law is preferred by the people, then it follows that any use of a fire arm must be subjected to scrutiny by law enforcement to establish the validitty of the action, this is reasonable and just for all who resort to this manner of defence...

  6. Oliver El Paso, TX

In El Paso TX when a policemen is in a shoot the officer is place on administrative lease well he is investigated.
Zimmerman is not a cop but a citizen acting as a security cop, who shot death a young child in cool blood.
The Stanford police chef said he was defining himself, next thing you know everybody who wants committed murder, will go to Stanford, FL and get away with it !!!!!!!!!!!
