(CNN) - So what are Tuesday's Iowa caucus-goers like – and how do they compare to the rest of the U.S. population?
Here's a thumbnail profile, by the numbers.
For starters, they are not a big group. In 2008, about 119,000 people voted in Iowa's Republican caucuses - which is about the same as the population of Allentown, PA.

I do not think the caucuse votes amount to a hill of beans like they used to as the whole mindset of the country has changed.It is a big waste of money and time.Each of the canidates have a good thing but none of them are as a whole really great and obama is even worse.What a sad state of affairs our country is in and nobody seems to care.Jim Thomas Phx.Az.
