Sen. Schumer calls the payroll tax cut agreement a "win for the American people."

The politicans are like the blind leading the blind, they cannot see the end of the street. Our whole government idiots are a total mess and all they do is screw up worse than they did the day before.Remember USA citizens VOTE ALL INCUMBANTS OUT or maybe it is time to impeach and/or recall. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink.Jim Thomas Phx.Az.
And a major devastating loss for our Elderly and Disabled Citizens. I guess Wolf Blitzer doesn't realize that the Payroll Tax pays for Social Security and Disability or he would not be crowing and celebrating the passage of devastating cuts to the Payroll tax. All this will do is hurt our most vulnerable citizens.
Shame on you Wolf Blitzer.
A two month renewal is a ridiculous idea on any complicated matter like this. If you are going to do anything, do it for the whole year But this whole 'payroll tax cut' thing is an artificial red herring. All they are doing is reducing the amount contributed to FICA, which finances our Social Security and Medicare government insured benefits, (NOT entitlements, by the way) Since those programs are already being drained, how is reducing revenue for them supposed to help in the long run? If Congress really wants to give a tax break to the middle class, how about reducing the percentage assessed on our income taxes, and reducing payroll contributions on that amount? At the same time, for goodness sake please do get on the bandwagon to increase tax rates on the wealthy, and reduce loopholes for them and large corporations (not small businesses) that artificially lower their taxable income? Taxing them more will not reduce job creation, but giving the middle class more spendable income will create jobs to meet increased consumer demand if they have it to spend.
What I'd like to understand is why we have this pay-roll tax in the first place if it is constantly wavered? This political fighting over something that is not needed is more than tiresome.
Lets face it the democrats are making a desperate ploy for votes...just like pulling the Guard off the border just to get more illegal voters into the country .
