Opponents say the initiative would not only outlaw abortion but could ban certain forms of birth control. CNN's Mary Snow reports.
The poorest, most uneducated, unhealthy place on the earth has the audacity to attempt to define life? Do tell...about the poverty rate down there that make third world countries look rich in comparison. They need no abortion there because the health care of women and newborns are dismal at best. Newborns don't have a chance in Miss...lucky them.
I consider myself pro-life. However this video made me consider somethings that i haven't before such as invitro fertilization, frozen embryos, and certian types of birth control. I have never considered these things as things that are related to abortion. I think people who want to have kids to be able to do what they need in order to do so. I believe that life is precious and should be protected as much as possible. In cases where there are a medical problem or incest or rape of very young girls we are considering the well being of two lives. To insist that abortion is never a good alternative, to me is not resonable when another life could be preserved.
If they are pregant because of rape or drugs or stupidity then I am for aboration. Why bring unwanted babies into this cruel messed up world.Jim Thomas Phx. Az.
Regarding Mississippi's narrow views on rape and forced pregnancy and abortions, I guess I am not suprised that such a state like Mississippi would choose to wade into womans lives. I would like to ask those legislators what their twelve year old daughters do if they are raped by some troglodyte and become pregnant? Is that the right thing to do? That would ruin that young ladys life and brand them as a dirty thing all of their lives caused by some monster? And I know those nice folks from a backward state like Mississippi would love to force all girls to give birth to people who may well wind up on the welfare rolls of that enlightened state. I am sure that state would love to pay them for many, many years. How about that, Mississippi folks? Gezzzz.
Extremists trying another futile effort to control people's lives to their own interpretation. Good luck with the Supreme Court.
"Keeping them honest! We're not trying to twist anyones words! We're trying to get to the truth!"
"Just how many little fingers does Obama need, before you stop listening to him? "
I don't understand how your hatred of our President has anything to do with Mississippi wanting to pass restrictive pro-life laws? Stay to the subject. People say that this could only happen in Mississippi. Maybe there is a reason that this state has the highest poverty levels in the country.
