I have fond appreciation for Wolf Blitzer reporting of the news and the CNN staff. I look forward to reading the CNN web site and listening to the news broadcast on my television set. However, in today’s climate of strong disrespect for the office of the Presidency, it will change the direction of civil conversation when a news organization starts using the proper titles of our elected officials. For example, Mr. Speaker, Madam Secretary, and my reason for writing this statement, especially when addressing the President by his last name is wrong. In all earnest, we are supposed to be educated. The high educational level at CNN, the degrees, awards and pride to write for a country that has a constitutional amendment to support its efforts, ‘Freedom of the press’ why have the terms on the news and in the papers show no respect toward our officials. You have forgotten to address the Federal government officials by their formal titles. When addressing these individuals the salutations are missing because it is easy to the reporter with no deference to the public officials. This is contributing to the lack of common courtesy by the public and why it is easy to see the huge disrespect that has occurred to the elected leaders. The press is not the sole reason for the contempt but adds to the conversation. These are our politics of the day, good or bad but the news organizations should lead in their approach to getting to the truth of an issue. Be direct; be clear when reporting of the facts of an issue and have a smart relationship with the people’s leaders. I believe the news has forgotten what a society should see and hear as the information is passed to the public. No policy can change the truth about a story but the words in the story should be accurate and the pursuit of quality that the news organization represents must respect the peoples leaders at all times when searching for the truth, Mr. President.

Wolf, ask President Obama if he understands that the republicans in congress don't want to compromise because they are trying to make him a "one term" president and not because of their ideological principles?

Hey, Wolf. Please ask Obama how the government creates jobs while it pursues policies that emasculate small businesses, the real creators of jobs.

We work towards a more perfect union every day. The President has been elected to guide the country in a direction that will continue this experiment with the people. Yes, its governments job to support businesses, in an open and legal means. It is not government’s job to be at fault for bad business practices. Business that have harmed the economy and mislead the consumer for profits cannot be overlooked. You have an opinion like me but we must allow to people who were elected to do their job no matter how we disagree with what they are doing or the policies they promote. When we do this, our government works with the people interest in mind. If there are major problems, we the people we elect new officials to continue to guide our nation. Say what you will, we have the best people on the job per the every four year the people say. Let them lead without forgetting business need to be watch just as our officials need to be watched.
