Its not right that things we rely on r going away. no one in congress or whatever has ever had to rely on what most americans do. even if they did then why worry now they r set. people work hard for things they get and our children cant its up to us to make sure they r taken care of an how can we do that with nothing to lean on when its tuff. if all my money has to go to doctors how can we keep they other necessities that keep them healthy. make a plan that doesnt take those things away. thell them up on the hill to take a pay cut an live in our shoes for a month an see how important these things really are. wake up share some coffee and fix this country. not asking for it to happen over night just make it happen.
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty, and justice for all. Stop the distortion, the 'drawing' lines in the sand playground behavior. We are talking about decisions that will affect millions of people – the very old and the very young, people with cancer, people facing foreclosure, people who need their representatives to really consider them. Think about the people that will be hurt Now and in the Future. Let things continue in this vein Nobody Wins and Everybody is hurt.
What ever happend to: " establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare"
That "spending binge" as you refer to it kept us from going into a depression the likes of which you cannot imagine. I am not for more government but realize this was necessary to keep our economy from collapsing. As for health care reform, obviously you have never had a situation where your health care costs would bankrupt you. It was needed and if you would stop listening to the politicians and read what has been accomplished, you might change your attitude. Open your mind because there is alot further to go to bring the US up to world standards in health care. We need to stop being disagreeable and find solutions to these and many other issues that any one of which could destroy the high standard of living we have in this country.
I hope we default ! It won't hurt me one bit. Only the millionaires and billionaires will suffer. It will cause the demise of both parties and I would like nothing better than to get rid of both and start from scratch .

Honestly! There are two culprits for this debacle: the House of Representatives and Us. For the House: for not learning what Ronald Reagan and Speaker Tip 'ONeil did – be friends, disagree on issues BUT come to a compromise that can be lived with. As for us: we voted for divided government. Now, we're paying for our votes. It doesn't get any more basic than that.
‘Here’s what we got for that spending binge: a massive health care bill that most Americans never asked for,’ said Boehner. ‘A stimulus bill that was more effective in producing material for late-night comedians than it was in producing jobs. And a national debt that has gotten so out of hand it has sparked a crisis without precedent in my lifetime or yours…’ well said Senator but most of the debt was already there and so were you.

HELP! Is the Congress so asleep at the wheel that they do not understand the ramifications of the loss of our AAA credit rating in the world? Do they not understand that we live in a world economy and the other players in the game are sitting on the sidelines salivating at the possibility of taking the US dollar out of the game as the worlds reserve currency? Do they not understand that means there will be no more unrestrained printing of the US dollar because the demand for it will dry up overnight? Do they not understand that the silly political games they play are putting us on the brink of another economic collapse?
Obviously they do not. Who is going to stop this madness? Who has the power to wake the idiots up?

Did you notice Boehner didn't shed a tear last night during his speech as he threw middle class Americans under the bus? Now that he's done what the far right tea party and Koch Industries dictate, does he really think they'll keep him around? My guess is no – they'll replace him with the even more rabid Eric Cantor. I think Boehner will cry then.

Honestly! We should eliminate agencies that aren't needed. If ain't broke don't fix it. So why is there a DHS? NSA does the same thing better. What is you military for? DHS is trying to recreate the wheel. We have better agencies that have been there for years / decades that do the same job better. That would cut a lot of spending. There is no reason that the millionaires and billionaires couldn't help out their country. If they aren't willing to help then maybe they shouldn't be here. There should be no temporary fix. We need long term fix. No offense but seriously this is not how you run a budget folks. Military is there for a reason use them for stuff that other agencies are doing. NSA is there for a reason use them for their talent. DHS is a crap shoot and always has been. They are trying to do what other agencies are doing. I ask WHY?
How can republican's claim tax revenue coming from "new tax payers" is a reasonable new revenue solution? Republican's claim democrat spending cuts like ending the wars and new committees can't be considered viable because they don't exist yet. Well – New revenue can't be a viable plan when you want it to come from new tax payers who don't exist. Republicans can utilize new tax payers as part of their plan when the economy recovers and they exist.

Blitzer is using hyperbole scare tactics to over state the situation. He is NOT reporting news but trying to create news by his dramatic statements about debt default and Obama's role that he underplays.
