Dear Paul Begala:
Subjerct: Mitt Romney is a Wind Tester.
I saw your opinions on Wolf Blitzer's Situation room today. Your
opinions are close to being correct. However I am shocked to see that
every one has missed the fact that Mitt Romney waits to see which way
the political winds are blowing before he always sides on the
strongest direction of that prevailing political position.
I have watched Mitt since he was head of the IOC in Salt Lake City
where I resided at the time. "No I am not a Mormon." Where I was
witness to Mitt before he got the job and after. Before the job "head
of the IOC" Mitt said the damnedest things. He sounded like he wanted
to be liked by every one and unable to be firm on a position from one
minute to the next.
I would read the Salt Lake Tribune and see which issues were the issue
da'Jour. By ten o'clock in the morning Mitt was making a statement in
front of the microphone stating how he was solidly behind that very
same issue. By 1 PM the US Ski team and announced objection,
Thousands of skiers sided with the US Skit team and Viola Mitt changed
his position by 3PM. This went on until Mitt was crowned head of the
IOC. After that all decisions were his set in stone, Non negotiable
and Mitt would use the power of the position to get his way. One
would do well to head this warning.
My personal opinion of Mitt is that he is a dangerous man who is
guided with intense loyalty from his religion. Paul I am a
Conservative but a pragmatist. I voted Liberal in Utah because the
conservatives were so far off the charts I could not stand to be in
the same neighborhood with them. I do not live in Utah anymore thank
god. I do live in a community with lovely blacks, Hispanics and
Asians. I feel comfortable here and listen closely to the concerns of
each. We then make decisions based on those concerns.
Instead of trying to point out how bad Mitt is I urge you to go after
the obvious and show how much of a Wind Tester this fool is.
Good Luck
