BLITZER’S BLOG: Cain keeping his head up despite controversy

Washington (CNN) - I saw Herman Cain briefly today in the CNN Washington bureau. He had just wrapped up a lengthy interview with HLN’s Robin Meade.

The Republican presidential candidate appeared to be in a good mood despite all the uproar over allegations that he sexually harassed two women in the 1990s when he was head of the National Restaurant Association in Washington. He had answered all of Robin’s blunt questions, clearly eager to move on.

(CNN) - It’s clear that Texas Governor Rick Perry needs to jump start his presidential campaign.

The new CBS/New York Times poll has him coming in fifth nationally among Republican voters. Herman Cain is at 25%; Mitt Romney 21%; Newt Gingrich 10%; Ron Paul 8%; and Perry at only 6%.

Cain: I can feel the bull's-eye

(CNN) – Herman Cain said Tuesday he could feel the pressure from his fellow 2012 candidates ahead of the CNN Western Leadership Conference Debate in Las Vegas.

"The way it feels is that you got this big bull's-eye on your back, and it keeps getting bigger," Cain told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room."
