    Sorry CNN and Mrs. Foley,

As tragic as the loss of your son's life is; the government did not let him down. He was a private citizen in an area of the world where he should not have been. Who was his employer; what did they do to get him back? I am tired of the media thinking that their U.S. audience wants to see the photos and stories from these areas of the world.

Quite honestly, if any CNN employee or other "alleged" journalist is captured by hostile forces then only their EMPLOYER is responsible. I do not want my tax dollars or government resources being used to rescue someone from a situation that they deliberately, knowing and willfully put themselves in.

NO ONE IS INTERESTED IN THE TYPE OF NEWS that is brought forth from these adventures and that's all they are and some have deadly consequences.

You and the people that loved your son should have been more persuasive in keeping your son at home. He went on his own volition and free will.
