Russia is joining the long list of nations who use the "double standard" as a routine rhetorical weapon. In this tactic, the speaker accuses his opponents of doing the same thing that he is doing, and says it is good when he does it, but bad when his opponents do it. Russia is currently attempting to take over the #2 spot in use of the double standard, after the USA, which has led in the #1 spot of most brazen use of the double standard for some 50 years in a row.

In other news, reporters are beginning to discover that large governments often lie. Research is planned to find out whether they ever tell the truth at all. More at 11.
