Rep. King: Real R.I.N.O. is Sen. Ted Cruz

Wolf Blitzer asks Rep. Peter King, a moderate Republican from New York and fierce critic of the Tea Party, if he will switch parties because of the government shutdown and debt ceiling debates. Rep. King fires back, defending his conservative credentials and calling Sen. Ted Cruz a "Republican in Name Only."

I just read in the Huffington Post that the Houston newspaper, the Houston Chronicle, now regrets endorsing Ted Cruz for Senate. I am wondering how the constituents in Cruz's district feel about his job performance and if they would vote for him again. This is one poll I would love to see CNN spearhead.

I am an independent voter, and the Republicans LOST my vote for sure!

No one needs to switch parties. What the more earth based Republicans need to do is work out a deal with the Democrats in the House to protect Boehner's speakership if he brings the Senate deal to the House for ratification. It would be a game changer and would encorage a moderate center to express what are reasonable positions for the country without fear of reprisal from the radical wings.

If medical device tax is apart of the heart of Obamacare, it's a nonstarter!! This is not a way to run a country...to either destroy a law you don't like, or destroy the country shouldn't even be in the vocabulary of people who supposedly love this country. It's sad that a Bafoon like Boener is the one, lone one destroying the country. Just imagine if that was female Pelosi, she used to get destroyed if she made the slightest mistakes but she mostly kept her party in lock step and Boener continually gets passes for doing a terrible job.

Rep. King is definitely not listening to the People. He probably has become too cozy with the perks in Congress and has forgotten that he is a public servant. He should reflect the sentiment of his constituency not his personal gain. I would bet that he has not held a Town Hall meeting recently therefore he assumes that what he says or thinks is correct in spite of the people he represents.

I know several Republicans (across the country; not only here in Illinois) who will be voting Democratic in 2014 & 2016 because of what the Tea Party has done~ Sen Cruz of Texas will be a one-term wonder, too bad!
