Lurching from crisis to crisis

One week after the government shutdown began, a new deadline now looms large over Washington– the debt ceiling. CNN's Dana Bash reports on the debt limit and how it is beginning to affect negotiations over the shutdown in DC.

Isn't it ignorant to lay off workers but pay them anyway? Now the Republicans in Congress are trying to micro-manage the purse, all in an effort to defund the ACA. They boast of sending four resolutions to the shutdown, each giving a little more. We are to believe that Speaker Boehner blames President Obama for the shutdown, even though the President asked for the Speaker to allow a vote with a clean CR. The Republican Congress passes legislation to pay workers to NOT work. Mr. Speaker, isn't that a waste of taxpayer money? Boehner has been so inept through this entire scandal, err scheme, dreamed up by Mark Meadows in NC and backed by the rest of the Tea Party. Isn't that illegal? I mean, isn't scheming against the full faith and credit of the US a crime? Arrest the schemers for plotting against their government, causing this shutdown and all that comes with it, as well as the furloughs caused, and the stress on the NYSE with investors not knowing how illogical and illegal the Speaker will become. I wouldn't be surprised if these schemers were purposely causing harm to the healthcare.gov site. I call it like I see it.

Another network reported 218 confirmed votes for a clean CR.
