    I know that there is a big focus on infections that come from the web, but they can also be launched from a thumb drive that is plugged into a computer's USB port. Even the person bringing the thumb drive in may have no idea that they have just infected their employer's network. This type of attacked happens inside the network and does not have to penetrate even the most elaborate of firewall systems. The best way for a company to protect itself is to use a USB port blocker. Just search on LINDY USB port blocker and you will see what I am talking about.
