CNN's Wolf Blitzer interviews House Speaker John Boehner about a wide range of political and congressional issues.

Wolf... Why don't you ask some real questions of Boehner, and make him answer. A referendum on Obama??? It is Congress that writes all legislation... not the President. You seem to coveniently forget, whether out of fear or by design, that the Republican Congress swore an oath to cripple President Obama's efforts to save our economy. All because they could not accept the fact that a Blackman won the election. They are still smarting over the fact that they appear so dumb, inept, corrupt, and useless that Americans would pass on them and elect a Blackman to the highest office in the land. How can you possily think that the current state of affairs is President Obama's doing??? Look at the phony tax arguments the republicans keep hiding behind. It is the low tax rates on the wealthy that is the cause of a floundering economy. They have you believing that taxes are too high, and thus, no jobs can be created. That is just so much B.S. For one thing, most of your savvy business owners are incorporated, and thus, can expense a lifestyle you wouldn't believe. Taxes are paid on "profits" and on "salaries." Would-be profits can be "Plowed-back" into a business in order to purchase new equipment, add new facilities, develop new products, expand operations... all of which would require the "HIRING OF MORE WORKERS" or in other words "The Creation of New Jobs!!!" It has nohing to do with the tax rate. A higher tax rate taxes the profits that are paid out of a business into the owner's pockets. The money in the owner's pockets was never intended to be used to create jobs... No! He squirrels that away for himself. Yet every time I watch your show, hear you falling victim to this same backward logic. It's a LIE Wolf, but you never challenge it. Just tll them: "Wait a minute! How is the money in your pocket creating jobs? If you really wanted to create jobs... the money would have been "plowwed-back" into the company... That's how you create jobs!" Just say that the next time and make them explain to us on TV how doing the opposite would create jobs. How many jobs did the Bush-tax-cuts create??? Where are the jobs after 10-years of Bush tax cuts??? A referendum on Obama??? John Boehner is a red-faced liar, a con artist, and a pawn fo special interests. In short. He is a flunky. He doesn't have the courage to speak truth.
Gilbert: Excellent post. You nailed it, and about the only thing you missed is the phony Jobs Bills Boehner
walks around with on an index card. He likes to whip that card out and tell reporters that they have passed
30 odd Jobs Bills . . . it's the damn Dems in the Senate that won't pass them. WHY don't one of those woosie
Reporters ask him if they are 'clean' Jobs Bills or if they are loaded down with 'riders' so the Senate CAN NOT
pass them??? The Republican Jobs Bills are only "props" to us to blame the Dems. Had they really wanted
to create jobs for America they would have passed a 'clean' Jobs Bill with no riders.
John Boehner think that we are bunch of dummy we can see through discretionary comments that Obama never has submitted to the house one proposal, what he has refuse to anything for the financial cliff that going to hit this nation at the end year, he is not concern. In my brook he been the worst speaker of house in are life times!
Why was there no alarm on the emergency exit door so when it was opened the theater staff woulf of been aeware
We have not had a good president since Truman. We need him and Patton now. They did not play games and or politics..They were tough and smart and I see nobody with those attributes now.Jim Thomas Phx.Az.
What I like about Mad john Boehner and Michele Buckmann and of GOP they have nothing but negative of everything Obama has done Wolf you fail to get after Boehner for the do nothing GOP house, he intentionally done everything in his power not pass bill that would help the Nation but do it so make Obama look bad.
The mortgage securities industry is still very much alive, and Obama is no different than Bush in regards to military policy. Obama is the same as Bush, same old drama. By the way, it was under Clinton that the disasterous mortgage securities industry began to flourish, not Bush.
Obama saved the bankng system from the worst diaster since 1929 while putting in place sensible reforms of Wall Street and the banks, he helped those unemployed and facing foreclosure by the disaster, he saved the auto industry, removed parasitic student loan lenders, ended combat operations in Iraq, oversaw the elimination of Osama bin Ladin and Mohamar Quadafi and, after 70 years of attempts, implemented a universal health care system that although imperfect protects the health care of every American. His economic recovery policies have placed the USA in much better economic health than that of Europe, who have pursued austerity policies similar to those advocated by Republicans. He achieved all this while suffering outrageous attacks about his citizenship, an ongoing campaign of denunciation by right-wing media outlets, a Tea Party Congress seeking to hobble him at every step (at whatever cost to the country) and hundreds of millions of dollars deployed by wealthy interests to prevent him for raising their taxes (which are the lowest they have been in 80 years). We live in the second era of robber barons, instead of railroads it was systemic financial chicanery and Romney is a member of that top 1%, and I am sure they do not want the party to end. Romney will not even release his income tax returns, which show in black and white that his wealth was derived from slicing and dicing companies in the 90s and that he has taken every tax dodge possible including very questionable ones involving offshore and Swiss bank accounts. Would anyone be surprised to learn he paid little or no income taxes for years? While it may be legal it certainly speaks volumes about his loyalty to America.
Yes, I would say Obama is one helluva good president and you would have to be a fool to vote for Romney for president or anyone on the right for Congress, who for the craziest reasons would undo these achievements and do everything possible to embrace an American oligarchy.
