The idea of the present government of Iran having a nuclear bomb is so beyond describing as simply "dangerous".

That backwards theocracy has demonstrated it's desire to support the practice of terrorism across the globe, to such a degree that, that gov't has almost built an almost "James Bond type Villain" reputation for itself.
Not to mention the public statement made by it's supreme leader, threatening genocide against Israel.

I would question the motives of anyone wishing to allow a managed nuclear capacity in Iran.

Only an extremely naive person can think that it is possible for the US to "stay out of it" and watch from aside a nuclear war in the Middle East that will result in millions of casualties, hundreds of millions of refugees, will make the largest oil fields on the planet unusable for many centuries and will put the world into a crisis of epic proportions effectively ending the Western civilization as we know it.
