You say you want the government shutdown to end. Ask the House Republicans to pass a clean budget bill. Simple as that.
I did not invite these people on my blog-wordpress people PAID! hey Mr. Blitzer, I was just curious why you and CNN would name a program The Situation Room-Are you conneceted to the Whitehouse? I'm Not. Good day Maam and Sir Chile
THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH: McConnell the leader of the leaderless republican clowns of obstruction in Senate have served little or no purpose for Middle Class Americans or the interests of United States of America. I say outsource the clowns to Communist China where they created jobs!
Ryan Paul is so concerned about american citizens who are terriorist being a drone target. When 9/11 took place, there was a plane with american citizens flying toward the white house. Fighter jets were given the order to shoot the plane
down if it became necessary. What does he say about this? Sometimes we must do what is necessary to protect our country. Another example is the civil war. Americans killing americans. Of course we can't just kill an american for no
reason. That is absurd. Ryan Paul likes to posture and he has no common sense. Thank God he is not president.
Ousting all our congressmen and limiting them to only two four year terms will get rid of all the grid-lock! Show them that they can be fourloughed too, statring at mid-term elections of 2014!
i can't believe the man that headed our CIA was not intelligent enough to use an alternate email account to communicate with his mistress.(above and beyond the scope that he actually did cheat)
Am i the only one that sees the irony here and that this man is not playing with a full deck.
He should be checked for a mini stroke.
He should be heading the CLIA (Central Lack of Intelligence Agency
I assumed wrongly that a per-requisite of his position would include knowledge of some basic covert technical knowledge
Strip the stars on principle!!!
I was disappointed by the comments made today (October 24) during the segment "Unsolicited Advice" regarding undecided voters. The panel was disrespectful of those voters who are still monitoring the candidates positions, reactions, and behaviors to determine their votes. I found the segment unworthy of time on CNN.
There are many people in America that don't realize that Bush/Cheney/ Rumsfeld,Rice, republicans are responsible for 94% of the national debt. Bush came into office with a 6 Trillion surplus which should have been used to pay off the debt.from policies such as Star Wars, Kuwait wars, etc.,which republicans never paid for. Bush then started and invaded two countries that was pure stupidity.these wars along with doubling the defense dept. budget and tax cuts cost an additional 5 trillion. For a grand total of 11trillion. bush also left a legacy of 1trillipn debt per year due to tax cots, interest fees, wars, pill plans in a spending spree that may never be able to be duplicated in world history. This total turns out to be approximately 15 trillion of our 16 trillion debt or 94%.its very obvious that the airhead Bolton is responsible for Romney's new war plans that coincide with Bomb-Bomb McCains's strategic outlook. God help us!
I agree with the principles of John's reply. If Americans had to pay for the wars we possibly would have been gone way before-good. But Johnson did the same in Viet Nam. And it takes two to tango-Congress. They covered up a lot like robbing Social Security fund and approving war funds. I do take issue with "Bomb-bomb" as the handle for McCain. He is a true hero. He did not support all the war efforts. Being a Navy A-4 pilot he has been more apt to" burb" out the truth on issues rather than most the partism robot congress people,
Have anyone in Washington looked at the impact the reductions are going to have in our Military and its civil servants?
Both of my sons are active duty soldiers, and they may end up in combat without the means to fight ...
I am a Department of the Army Civilian, and to me 2% reduction translate into 20% of my monthly salary ... 20% pay reduction for someone who is living from pay check to pay check is a lot ...
I don't understand why the congress, senate and our leaders in Washington don't take a pay cut as well ...
I am sure if performance, or lack thereof, was a discriminator for pay, they too would be living from pay check to pay check ... Hey, maybe they should go in the Military and find out what is like to be there dealing with the uncertainties of not knowing if the next time you are in a firefight one is going to have the close air support needed to survive and win.
Thank you for your time and entertaining this traffic.
Jay, mcCain brought it on himself when he sang bomb-bomb Iran. I voted for him in the 2000 primary but he has changed dramatically since then. Moderates are fleeing R's and their policies on the budget so called made up crises like running water. They are just totally out of touch with real people. Their real goal is that they are focused on destroying Medicare and SS. They won't run on this because if they did they would be run out of town.
Romney, today said he outlined his foreign policy stance. The idiot that fires before he aims proved again that he and his neo-con advisors want to get us into more wars than we can count. It's obvious that Romney,Bolton,Mr. Strategy McCain, Graham want to spend two hundred Billion per year on building more ABMS that can't hit the broad side of a barn, ships that sink, jets that cost 1 Billoon each, 200,000 new troops for protecting Romney's hidden money in the CaymansandSwitzerland..all this so Mr. blood money Romney can play some kind of SuperTrooper.,
Wolf" Please give us a break out here in Southern Land. The lady? you had on your program today, Mary Matalin, I recall her from a few days ago. She said the 47% were parasites! I live in a very poor county in North Florida and you can tell her that we are not parasites. We are Americans, who fought in all the wars and who love our Country and a lot of us died. Please remove this lady from your program or I will turn it off as well as you!! Take care, Ken
Mary M. Needs to remember that the rest of us in this country pay taxes that are funneled to LA in a much greater proportion than what all the people in LA contribute to the rest of us. Remember that Jendel tried to build a sandbar to protect the wetlands and it melted away. He billed the Army Engineers for that fiasco, didn't he? I think it's time for Mary and her republican friends to retire and pay taxes.
I LOVE your Unsolicited Advice segment especially that Dominick guy!!!! He just lights up the room. Please keep him on CNN. He adds a lot of positive energy to the program. Remove that Davis guy.
Wolf -I see that Romney has said that he "made a mistake" about the 47%. Did he also make a mistake with "big bird?"
He has thrown 47% of the people in this country under the bus and now he has thrown Big Bird as well as Jim Lehr under the bus. Who is next??? We all know who is next – any social program that benefits the less fortunate; the medicare/medicaid program that benefits the less fortunate and seniors; the social security program that millions have worked and contributed to all their lives; the Affordable Health Care Act that benefits all Americans, plus more, more and more. Mitt Romney doesn't care about Americans – he only wants to take care of his giant ego. His being President of the United States is not about Americans – he doesn't want the job – being President of the US is only so he can put it on his resume and say that he achieved something that his father didn't. If he is elected, we will be in a third world war – he'll be helping his good friend from Israel to attach Iran. I am sure that he promised him that when he was on his so-called foriegn trip. Mitt Romney is a dangerous person. One thing that he can do with ease is LIE. He and Paul Ryan make a good pair – both LIERS! Will say and do anything to get something new on their resumes.
Hey Wolf, The most heard comment about the debate is Obama just wasn't there. Why has the media not considered the fact that Turkey just bombed Syria. Or any other huge emergancy having taken place just prior to Obama having to take the stage. A poor analagy is you just found out your wife is sleeping with your best friend. Your mind is taken over
with the urgency and good luck getting involved with a debate when the world burns. Obama is not going to give excuses for his absence, it's not in his dna. He will be back.
I would like to know if now we can finnally hold this President accountable? The real Mitt Romney thats all you got?Mr. Obama was taken to school during the debate along with all other liberals. There are three things that affect the economy. Taxes, Spending and the one which Mr. Obama and liberals don`t know about growth which by the way is the most important.
A rival station, MSNBC, had President Carter's Secretary Of State, Zbigniew Brzezinski on this morning. He gave insight as to what is going on in the Middle East. The perspective he gave was said in simple to understand language, made so much sense, the 6 veteran reporters there were riveted to every word he said. As was I. You should have him on or John King. If you have access you should see it yourself.
I saw him too and he was great on the Libya topic. Maybe you should see if Burnett could have him on her show.
I would ask Mrs. Pelosi, how she thinks Mortgage Backed Securties are working out for the public, and the Country as a whole.
I know Candy doesn`t consider herself a journalist but Wolf you do so why will you not ask the question that Axlerod brought up on Sunday? How do you know we now have net positive jobs when the only way you could possibly know is if you have prior knowledge of Friday`s job report? The answer to this question will also answer where the security leaks have come from and give more credit to my statement that those leaks came from Axlerod and Brennan. Also when Gibbs says on a Sunday show that he no longer has a security clearance and doesn`t get that info but yet comments on that is also a giveaway. I am a news junky and pay attention to every word something a good journalist might do. I also realize that your and every other democrats hero is Saul Aulinsky and one of his biggest rules is to accuse the other party of which you yourself are doing. All this being said do you wonder why the credibility of the media is one of the fewer entities that have a lower rating than Congress.
Wow! You just did what republicans are famously for – lying and blaming everything they do on everybody else. We are aware of that stupid republican trick. Remember what Ferry Perry said? He really meant that republicans want a Plutocracy where the elite rich run the country and the rest of us are serfs.
a weeks ago you had a black officer that supported president in 08 but he will not support him for 2012 if he thought what s going on now have any thing to do with race,he said no.I would like to no what planet he s from. From the being lthe man that called him a lie.The pictures of him looking like a monkey ect.the list goes on.Look at the lies roomey and the republician is spreading. His religon, birth place. The republician vowed not to work with the president. How much can you get done?Even the the religilous people is spreading neg. stuff. When have there been a perfect president? It does not matter what he does people hate this man for no good reason.Bush have cause many americans to loose their lives in war,no one is talking about that.Roomey want to start another war. What about roomey religon, john smith.America need to wake up.When the other republicians running look at what was brough out about each one of them. You all need to ask the right questions that the realness would come out.
Dear Wolf, Gloria and Jack
I had been a regular viewer of Situation Room- one of my favorite program . I think you need to go to the school bench once again! Lately, it appears to me you and eminent CNN Situation room had been bit puzzled, confused and seems to me favoring “Mitt the Blunder”. Are you under pressure from the CNN owners? Is Situation Room impartiality is under the pocket of some one else? I firmly and impartially believe Obama the democrat need a second chance to fulfil the task. Among two presidential candidates in comparison, one has a clear choice! Mitt real face appeared in among many maths two simple on to be mentioned here 1) Mother Jones in his 47 % comments 2) Why you cannot open the windows in a plane while landing!! Conclusion: this man is a plutocrat and ignorant.
Obama is always been truthful and farsighted so, do your arithmetic Wolf and the Situation room experts
God bless United States of America.
Please, when you have a guest on the program, would you stop talking, and let the guest have his say? On 9/29/12, you had Micheal Gordon on, and almost everytime he tried to speak, you interrupted him. I could tell from his countenance that he was becoming exasperated. Personally, I think you were quite rude to him. This is not the first time I have seem such action on your part. Have you ever watched a playback of any your programs during which you had a guest? I suggest you try that – you might be suprised at what you see! Ralph J. Coley
Please do not defend Amb Susan Rice. It isn't your job. Just report the Intel and we wil be the judges. Your subjectivity is showing. Badly.
RH, What's your problem? cNN comments on everything else. If your so concerned you should watch Burnett because she' got all kinds of ignorant experts talking about Libya.as Kerry said-leave it to the FBI to figure it out and quit guessing!
"ignorant experts"? Interesting oxymoron. However, I expect more of Wolf than I do of Erin. That must be my problem.
RH-perhaps it would have been better to call them stupid experts. The statement remains, let the FBI do their work. I don't think any of the "experts " we're in Libya. Where are they getting their misleading information? All these people are just guessing.
i see cnn's wolf is a blitzn about the attack on the consulate. Is this wolf's attempt to imitate the replacement NFL refs by throwing out a flag (for commercial success, i'm sure!) and missing the call? CNN and other news organizations would beat doors down to get a comment on the attack, then after receiving their goods(which was preliminary) you come out swinging that people mislead you, questioning if it was intentional!! My question for you wolf. Is this reporting for the sole purpose of tightening up a political race, to keep it interesting until the final seconds? Would news organizations slant their reporting to accomplish something like this?
Despite your complaint to the contrary, Fox HAS discussed its own poll results. I have heard them. Wherea are your fact-checkers? The only poll Fox touts and trusts is the Rasmussen poll which was most accurate in 2008. Fox isn't being inconsistent but you are demonstrating the partisanship which disappoints your longtime viewers.
A lot of fox news is miss leading. This is deceiving. There is nothing good that fox news has to say across the board.Maybe wolf is stepping in to keep people honest on cnn.
You know, Will...having read your several comments on this site, I am inclined to opine that you well and accurately represent Wolf's emerging audience. And he is losing those of us who eschew logical fallacies.
Everyone has commented on why Pres. Obama didn't meet with heads of the Middle East. Looking at Romney's history with Netanyahu, I'm sure there is good reason. I am surprised that no one has hit on this. The relationship between Romney and Netanyahu goes back to the 70's and they have a very good relationship. Netanyahu has even went as far as to " campaign " for Romney. Why on earth would we give Romney more fuel to use against Obama?? I'm sure there may even be security reasons that we are not priveleged to but I trust the President to know what he is doing.
Education: Did it ever occur to newsfolks that teaching "Johnny" how to multiply 2×2 does not mean that he'll do it on the test! Typical students, 2012: some are great and try their best on the test; some ADHD students have a difficult time and after a couple of pages, they've had enough, especially if the test is above their level, they can become terrribly discouraged ; some students are extremely competitive and want to see who gets done first; some kids have parents whose priority is not their child nor is it education; some ESL children are forced to take the exam in English before their English language skills are competent; some students are just trying to survive their circumstances, the score they receive has very little meaning. A few students even refuse to take the test, sitting for 2 1/2 hours for 3-5 days staring at test and pencil in front of them. I care very much about my students, jr high, with hormones raging. I want to see them learn and succeed. I am available to them before and after school. I want them to learn, but I can't make them, and I can't make them show me what they've learned on a state test unless they choose to show me. I will not allow someone to say that the test scores totally reflect my teaching. Teaching is a business filled with numbers of test scores in 2012. My students are not numbers and percentiles, so after 35 years, I'm calling it quits.
I expect you to take a deeper look at things especially when have shown that you have at your CENTER, fairness; I think that you have missed something when it comes to WHY President Oboma did not meet with leaders at the U.N. . Here is the REAL issue; WHAT COULD HE REALLY ACCOMPLISH WITH THE TIME GIVEN? Other than a good PHOTO OP, do we honestly believe that he could have made any SERIOUS progress by a few minutes/hours meeting with other world leaders at the U.N. instead of a PLANNED meeting with each leader, one on one, with a paticular goal in mind? I am sure the other former presidents had told him that and I am surprised that you would keep missing this; President is very thoughtful, ESPECIALLY with only days, not months left until the election..LOOK DEEPER WOLF, LOOK DEEPER!
I have been watching you for many years for your unbiased reporting and I wondering if you should be on the sidelines during this election. This evening marks the second time in very recent days that I have noticed your sharp toned reaction, gesture and negative body langauge when a guest offers their critical views of President Obama.
Perhaps you should recall Bernard Shaw's concern that today's journalism interjects too much personal opinions. I hope that you get back to reporting the news and not engage your guest in a way that may be perceived as your personal bias and opinions by your faithful audience.
With all the comments about Romney's charitable donations, why is no one stating that temple card carrying mormons HAVE to give the church one tenth of their annual income. If you minus that from his donations he does not appear to be that generous and if you follow his income it appears he has short changed the mormon church. Charitable donations are acts of kindness NOT COMMANDMENTS FROM A CHURCH. Why is no one asking that or doing the basic math.
Well, Annie, it may be that most decent people would feel very small criticizing someone who gives four million dollars, or 29% of their annual income, to charity. And, yes, just like any other church, the Morman Church is a nonprofit institution. You really want to quibble with who got what?
The Mormon church is "non profit" but hey own businesses and shopping malls and do not pay taxes because they are a CHURCH. So where does all the profit go???
Connie, the Catholic Church is a powerfully rich landowner. Do you ask the same questions about that church? No? Why not? If you want to read about Morman charity, Google it. It's all there.
Correction: "Mormon, two o's" . I know better. My bad.
Like many people over the last couple of years, I have moved back to CNN for real news without bias of the other cable outlets. I especially think that you personally are one of the most professional hard-news sources in your field. Lately, however, I percieve a sense of that "lean" by CNN and you towards President Obama. In particular, the purported "gaffs" of Gov. Romney over the last 2 weeks have highlighted this for me. I honestly think there is a very obvious, real and important debate that could be had concerning President Obamas foreign policy, and past attitudes towards Islamic relations, and the recent widespread violence and unrest in that area with much of same specifically aimed at the US. Literally, the world burns in that area and no one at CNN seems to have any real intellectual inquiry into the President's views, responsibilities, etc. The failure of security alone would normally be a major issue to investigate against an administration. His poor spokesman had the audacity this week to continue to say that it was only about a film trailer and was in no way intended towards the US. To me, these are major, once-in-a-lifetime events unfolding and CNN seems to have no honest exploration of the administration's role before or even during the events. The secret tape situation is not as apparent, but, still seems odd to me. Though Romney's comments are worthy of reporting, especially as may refelct on his economic views, the reporting seems to completely discount some of the real issues related to who does and does not pay taxes in this country and who does and does not consume benefits. And yes, that discussion could easily involve observations of similarities to other countries and the position they find themselves in today. Again, this country's economic condition is in historical shambles, and CNN seems to have little interest in reporting on same, only Romney's inarticulate comments about it. Have you gone back and watched replays of your network's coverage and your own over the last 2 weeks? Have you watched Sunday night's performance by Don Lemon calling Romney a "liar"?. As you can surmise, I will probably be voting for Gov. Romney. But for the record, I am a registered Demcraft who has supported both Dems and Reps actively in the past.
Beautifully stated, John L. You speak for many CNN viewers. And Wolf, I hope you are listening. We hate to lose one of the last stalwarts of journalistic integrity.
that's funny,Iv,e thought that CNNhas been decidedly favoring the right. you have to realize that Romney leaves a lot to be desired as a human being. it's obvious to me that CNN constantly has panels and guests on that favor the right. this is the area that must be corrected. CNN analysts definitely favor the right in their comments. i'm a member of the 47% that is actually by definition around 80%.
you can t blame the president for every thing.the u.s can t police the world.look at what s going on here in the u s.people complainted about the war we are in now.do we want to get into another one.ther are some things the media don t need to know.our enemies live right amoung us.they listen to the news as we do.we want to know when what where and how over the waves.also the bible has to be fulfill.how about us praying, staying before God that we will be able to escape the danger that s coming on this usa.what do you think?
Why aren’t you focusing on the Congressional races? Pundits and media outlets continue to give the impression that the Presidential race is where our attention should be focused – to the exclusion of everything else.
This is a mistake. The entire House of Representatives and 30 plus Senators are up for re-election. This is where our attention should be focused. Congress determines the government’s budget, passes the laws and determine the sources of government revenue. News flash Congress runs the government and is very effective at behaving has though they have no control over anything that the government does. (i.e. Congress members claim the government spends to much money – yet they are the ones that decide what and how the government’s money is spent).
Wolf – Why aren't you or CNN reporting that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has just purchased 200 million more rounds of ammunition? This is frightening and why would the DHS need even more ammunition? To kill American citizens?? Is Obama preparing for Civil unrest? Please report REAL news like this! All Americans need to know!!
Following controversy over its purchase of around 1.2 billion bullets in the last six months alone, the Department of Homeland Security has put out a new solicitation for over 200 million more rounds of ammunition, some of which are designated to be used by snipers.
Wolf. Please stop campaigning for Obama and start reporting like you did before the election. Are you going to talk about Al Quaeda and Libyan embassy and how the prez is walking back his video staff? . Enough about the 47%.
Hey Wolf, How come the Obama Administration keeps lying about the terrorist attacks on our Embassy in Lybia, that killed an ambassadore and 3 other Americans. This is very serious. They keep saying because of a 15 min. Movie, Even the President of Lybia says it was a terrorist attack. Why would Obama lie to Americans ? How come CNN is not covering this?
The Obama administration was warned three days before the Embassy attack in Libya and ignored it. The Middle East erupting right now is because of a drone strike that killed an Al Queda leader ... the video just added fuel to the fire and made it spread.
Dan, it looks like you are comparing George W. Bush's pre-president rocerd as an executive to Mitt Romney's. I am not sure that Bush compares favorably. Mitt Romney has a rocerd of creating amazing success stories where he has filled the role of executive. It might be more effective to argue against Romney because you disagree with his view on abortion or Guantanamo and not on the grounds that he is an incompetent executive.
Paean, Romney is not,I repeat, is not a business person. He is decidedly ANTI-business. Romney -Bain Corporate Raiders, destroyed businesses by stripping them of all their resources and firing people which is Romney's favoritism thing to do. Personally, I would not allow Romney to Ron a soapbox corner lemonade stand.
What makes you think the Obama Administration is lying about the attack on US Embassy? He has no reason to lie about any of it. He did not apologize about this idiot in America who made the movie, he did exactly what any good president would do: get and examine the facts, get the other country to pursue the perpetrators and pursue justice, not go flying off the handle with words and lies and not even know what is going on first. Seems Romney would rather get us in another war we cannot afford, his mouth engaged before he even knew what was going on. You have to have tactfulness to be a president, not a loose cannon. There is nothing President Obama said or did to indicate in any way that he lied about any of this.
This film that is purported to have started the Cairo riots...........why am not hearing that this would not have happened if
Cairo TV (now freer than under Mubarak) had not discussed it and showed some of it on air. I am glad that their press
is freer. But do their freedoms (which I celebrate) trump our freedoms. I detest the individual who made this film,
but as an American I defend his right to make it. While Morsi asks our president to reduce our freedoms, we ask him
to increase theirs.....crazy world.
When Isaac was bearing towards the Gulf coast, Wolf was very concerned that the Republicans in continuing with their convention would show such little sensitivity to poeple in the storm's path. Wolf interviewed several top Republicans asking whether they should continue with the convention when the country was in a crisis. Now, with the country in a crisis with the terror events happening in the Middle East, I have not heard Wolf chastise the President for his hitting the campaign trail hard as well as making time for the talk shows, etc. So what is up Wolf? Where is the President's leadership? I would think I would turn on any station and see the President hunkered down someplace with his key advisors focusing on this ongoing crisis. Nope – no President and no quesitoning from the media. In fact, the media has been more concerned with what Romney said that what the President said or is doing. God help us if we ever get in a major – have to act right now -. crisis with this administration. The upcoming election cannot come soon enough!
If you haven't noticed, the president was at the airport receiving the dead and honoring them today along with Hilary.the concern is that Romney and Ryan are such loose cannons.neither is capable or honest enough to be president.
First, your comment has no relevance to my comment. Secondly, please detail the times in Romney's and Ryan's careers that they have acted as loose cannons. President Obama is a very good candidate but not a good president. He has consistenly shown that he is much more comfortable being out of the oval office than in it. Romney sees the presidency as a job whereas President Obama likens it more to simply being a figurehead.
Wolf, Time to get off Romney's back. He is running to SAVE our country from a dedicated Socialist, Obama. Romney is a man of truth and honor and he will help create jobs in our country. Obama screws up on a daily basis and if Romney makes any statement you are blasting away at him. Question: Are you under some sort of restraint from CNN about reporting the TRUTH about Obama? Take a listen to Lt. Cor USArmy,Retired, Congressman Alan West, FL being questions by a Marine about radical Islam. This is the truth from a man that fought for our country.
I am truly amazed that CNN chooses to ignore and not advise viewers of the Rasmussen poll today that shows Romney back in the lead –
Romney 48% Obama 45% National Presidential Poll
The top two polling companies that were the most accurate in 2008 were Rasmussen and Pew!
Instead, CNN discusses polls that over-sample Dems to show Obama ahead! Give me a break! CNN needs to stop covering up for Obama and report real news!
First of all the embassey incident is being investigated by the FBI, so let's let them do their job and quit letting Pox Snooze make things up especially Bolton. Secondly, Rasmussen contacted me in a pollard I found it to be very republican partisan by the tone of the questions. For example, starting the question with- In This Bad Economy.
I find it hard to believe that you would report the reason for the riots/attacks in Middle East is because of the Anti-Muslim movie. Let's face it, it's not a movie and that is not why this is happening. Horrible reporting and bias. The world knows CNN is anti-Republican. Where is the fairness of journalism. Now that I think of it. Just report the truth. Obama is not a president for the Americans. I pray for him and the administration regularly for the sake of the American people. Muslim religion is the only religion I know of that is Anti-American and commits crimes in the name of Allah. My God is not allah.
CNN fails to address an endemic issue of persistently interrupting guests of great stature without letting them finish a simple thought. Ambassador Bremer, who I served with in Iraq, has the stature of a true hero...he is a qualified expert in successful diplomacy...he has fair criticisms of weaknesses in the current US Foreign policy... and Wolf constantly destroyed his coherent, logical path to give your viewership a great understanding of American policy weaknesses that are now becoming vital historic points. By failing to show guests the respect they deserve, Wolf is failing your viewership without regard to any semblance of critical thinking except for his opinion.
I, like many veterans, who took risks during my service in the Middle East see that we are walking away from the supreme sacrifices of my colleagues in this region. We see the US apologizing about the path the US took to prevent further attacks following September 11 attacks, and now for some reason, CNN will not allow its viewers to hear logical arguments why a weak presence in the region during this critical time is failing. "UAV wars" do not provide the security on the ground that our Diplomatic Corps needs to accomplish it's mission within acceptable risks. If the American people don't analyze the current threats wisely, the Arab Spring will continue down a path that we can ill afford. Viewers should voice your opinions to give Ambassador Bremer another chance, recognize the incredible success of his diplomacy in Iraq along with General Petraeus, and force a more balanced approach or this country and our investment in the region may all be for naught.
If history is repeating itself, bad foreign policy decisions can result in devastating consequences, way beyond the sacrifices our soldiers, sailors, airmen and diplomats in the Middle East since 2003. Bad US policy decisions such as appeasement and weak alliances, have led to our country's largest wars. Ambassador Bremer recognizes this and was only pointing out the current risks we are taking.
My "ask Wolf" question: Why did you not give the Ambassador the respect he deserved during your interview? I don't ask this rhetorically, but am searching for an answer to why timely analysis of policy decisions is not worth hearing from your honored guest.
Wolf, everyone should remember, should an incident occur outside of this country, our voice is that of THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, and no one should interfere or clutter "HIS" message to the world. We elected him good or bad, to speak for us in one unified voice. That is why we are called "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA"!
I like your analysis DKL and I think this is culntrery Mitt Romney's race to lose. I think he's running as good a campaign as he can so kudos for that.In general I think what we've seen is that a) Mitt Romney is a strong candidate and b) the Republicans (as a group) aren't completely excited about any of the candidates.Every candidate seems to have some characteristic that is a major downer to a large group of Republicans. The question is whether being a Mormon is a bigger downer (from the perspective of some) than the other negative' characteristics possessed by other candidates. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Once again on the one thousandth news story, because your agreement with the presidents policies your reporting colored to make the administration look good always. Mitt Romney is not the president right now. Thus he is not responsible for anything happening in the middle east. Are you really so blind that you don't understand that the president is responsible for the actions of the State Department? Your carry a lot of water for the president at your network. Why don't you look into Shawn Smiths statement about the Libyan police being involved or president skipping intelligence briefing?
Where we're you when Bush/Cheney missed all of the briefings before 9/11. bush didn't even read the briefings and Obama does.nall this country needs is more hypocrites like you.
Wolf, I beg to differ with a comment made recently. A State Dept. official, I believe, was asked about Egypt being considered an ally of NATO and they said yes. That does not mean Egypt is necessarily an ally of the USA even though they may considered an ally of NATO. NATO does not make the USA.
And Egypt gets over 2 billion in US aid a year!
Mary, maybe you should ask Israel leaders if the 2 Billion is a good investment in their security because its the Egyptian army that maintains the treaty with Israel.
I was watching yesterday when the mainstream media started attacking Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney, I thought Mitt romney was very Presidential, Where as I think CNN has turned into no better than the National Inquirer. You have your racist's on Board like Don Lemon. And what you report are lies and mistruths skewing the news towards The worst president America has ever seen.Wolf your credentials now are nothing.Today I saw on FOX NEWS the only real news worthy reporting agency, The coordinated effort to attack Mitt Romney.Today starts the Boycott of all mainstream media, or Obama networks.Any advertisers we will not purchase any of their products or services advertised on CNN,MSNBC,ABC,NBC,CBS,NPR.CNN avidly backs Debbie Wasserman Schultz that was caught lying at the Democratic National Convention.
Who paid for Chenny's heart transplant-$1 million ?---WE did--he will have health care for the rest of his life.
They all do that have been in office
No matter how many Senors or skirts you bring in you can not improve viewership without honesty and integrity.
If you begin to accept lies, smoke and mirrors and play the FOX game to gain rankings, you will lose especially if you do not challenge liars and sensationalism.
Got to return to the CNN that was great with truth, honesty and accuracy and first to tell the story around the world. We can recognize that.
Totally agree with you.
I tuned in today to get some information about the attacks, like who was suspected to be behind them, perhaps see Nic Robertson on TV with his perspective.
What do I get instead?
A Dan Senor harangue about Romney, a democratic congressman who can't get a word in edgewise because Dan is screaming over him, Wolf in the middle sporting 'a deer in the headlights' look, and CNN security 'expert' Ms Townsend who had nothing of value to add. She gave no background information about terror groups in Libya or any sort of explanation about the attacks and finally Wolf signed off from the segment by asking Dan Senor and the the Democratic congressman to come back to discuss among other things, why the White House is not giving Big Mouth Bibi an appointment!
I wanted to know how and why our State department officials were murdered and Wolf wanted to know why Bibi was shut out of the White House. We don't need an explanation as to why Bibi should be frozen out. His undiplomatic and insulting actions against his closest ally, is self explanatory!
What I found out subsequently on another channel, was that a Libyan terror group has not been definitively linked to the crime, but there is a group with Al Quaida connections in Libya. There was background info given about an AL Quaida leader, who was a Libyan, being taken out by a drone. That connection coupled with the attack on 9/11, leaves me to draw conclusions. There was a non political security expert on the same channel who summed things up beautifully.
Even the pitifully small audience which watches CNN will flee from watching CNN, if they can't inform without a political axe being ground. I for one will stop looking to CNN to inform me, because even Wolf Blitzer (who I considered a journalist of repute) seems to have an agenda these days.
Why would mitt's foreign policy advisor allow him make such volatile statements about a situation that he was no officially briefed on by our national security council..that's just shows lack of intellect to make a comment without full insight and knowledge into an ongoing situation
Why has President Obama continue to bring terrorist foreign President to our country? Why does he continue to send foreign aid to a country and President who wants Shariah law and hates Americans? Why has the Egyptian administration not protect US Embassy? Why do you support a weak President and are blind to the facts. Facts that Obama does not care about the American people enough to protect our Embassies. He is in charge of them and ultimately what comes out of individuals appointed is his responsibility. Wake up and smell the coffee.
Wolf you allowed that republican talking head to hijack the interview with congressman Wexler. It is shameful that he kept talking spewing out garbage against Obama. I am a republican but I am ashamed that you did not give equal time to the democrat.
Wolf, Why is CNN covering up the coordinated attacks on our Embassy, Killing the ambassador of Lybia.I noticed yesterday how you were talking with Al Queda's No 2's Brother on a so called peace deal, Then we find out this guy you were talking to was at one of those Embassy's.This was the aniversary of 9-11 this was done on purpose and now your protecting our poor weak president
Lets look at facts and what could happen about 4 or 5 days before the election. First a little look back at my record.I told Anderson 2 years ago do not judge secrets when you yourself hold them. Recently I mentioned letting an employee go if Obama gets elected to preview the FAA debacle. Now comes the most important one. Mr. Obama snubbed Netanyahu in the Whitehouse. Mr. Obama Tuesday snubbed him again . Mr. Obama gave the Muslim Brotherhood 1.5 billion dollars and had their leaders in the Whitehiouse. The Muslim Brotherhoodm is connected to Islamic extremist. Mr. Obama blames Christians for the violence in Cairo and Benghazi. Mr. Obama forces Christians to accept his laws in Obamacare and Sympathizes with the Muslims overseas. Now back to the beginnning and what I am eluding to. There is a film out there where Mr. Obama admits to being a Muslim. If that came out on Friday November 2nd along with all these things I just mentioned what do you think would happen. This probally won`t be posted just like other helpful hints I have givin CNN but maybe you can take this and realize you need to start telling your viewers the truth before you lose the last viewers you have when they figure out you have been lying to them to defend your own agenda.
the problem with your thread is that Romney is a Mormon and it is more like a muslim religion than a Ghristian religion relative to the number of wives. now if Romney and Ryan happen to start telling the truth about Medicare, SS, and Medicaid then they may not win a single state.
For many years, I have watched the news, knowing that no matter how skewed MSNBC or FOX News would be, I could always turn to CNN and listen to Wolf give a non-partisan accounting of world events. I'm so sad to say that this is no longer the case. He use to be so "fair and balanced", not giving his opinion as fact, but actually giving fact. Unfortunately, I can see that this is no longer the case, and I anticipate an imminent move over to FCN since it appears he is trying to sway voters to one way of thinking instead of analyzing the facts. That's really too bad...
I think WOlf is great. I can't tell his political affiliation, but the new girl is definitely a republican. Why is she there? Doesn't fit the non-bias mode I associate with Wolf. She is a clone of John King who you can tell is a republican also.
Wolf Fan, let me guess...you are democrat. I'm amazed that you believe all the lies that come out of Obama's mouth. Did you listen to his inauguration speech? He used Jimmy Carter's speech from 30 years ago. Seriously...he said we are not dependent on foreign oil and we are better of than years ago, Really...is that why the price of gas is at a great price! He is truly the weakest and most lying president I have ever known. I vote demo and repub...whoever is best for the job. Do the same and help our country with good Christian sound decisions.
It's time to let the American people know that Pennsylvania is suppressing the vote for political reasons by requiring ridiculous requirements to obtain a required government photo ID in order to vote.... What they are doing is worse than what Alabama did to prevent African Americans from voting in 1954 before the Federal voting rights act was passed...
The Democrats required photo ID to get into the convention but states shouldn't require ID to vote? I think Photo ID to vote is good to combat voter fraud. People complain even in states where photo ID's are free. If you can make it to the polls; you can go get your ID. In most states; the requirements to get them aren't that big of a deal.
You need to grow up Mary. The voter ID is voter suppression period. There are people in cities that don't have cars, and seniors that don't get around easily that have voted for 50+ years that may not be able to vote now.
Voter ID is the road to fair and honest elections. Every voter must provide in addition their citizenship as well. We are in much uncharted territories where special groups, UNIONs and other organizations are playing dirty to gain illegal votes for Democratic candidates. Sorry folks we need to level the field with honesty integrity and no intimidations. Voter ID is the answer for now, Citizenship in four years.
Wolf should get Obama Admin reps to talk about terrorism topics. He always seems to get Frances Townsend from Bush Admin. She does not know what is going on today.
I am writing this to educate you Wolf and the rest of the Obama supporters at CNN. You, Candy and ali feel Mr. Obama has saved GM. His and your business model is to produce a car at a cost of $89,000 and sell it for $40,000. That is the liberal business model in a nutshell. For youir sake not your viewers what could happen if the economy collapses. Simple terms Wolf so you and Ali can understand. Every dollar you have is worth half as much and everything you buy cost twice as much. Sincve we are talking about cars lets make it even simpler. That volt you want to buy would cost $80,000 instead of $40,000 and that $10,000 you wanted originally would only be worth $5000. I know you think sucess is evil and Romney is evil because he is sucessful but I think I will choose someone who knows how to make a buck verses someone who only knnows how to spend it. If you post this I will be amazed because truth is not part of CNN`s platform.
I happen to like the volt. To say that Romney is successful is only based on blood money. When the company you have worked at is Romney-Bained,then you will understand how bad it is when your company which you helped to build is stripped. Romney is also an extraordinary liar who cannot be trusted.ryan is bad for this country but now Romney seems to have had a terrible effect on him obviously teaching him how to be as good a liar as he is.everybody, hopefully realizes that Romney lied like a rug when he was running for governor in MA especially about his taxes which did not prove his MA residency. He lied ! Again, again again, and again. He can't say two words without lying twice!
After the elections we will see if GM will survive if Obama is defeated. I guarantee another bankruptcy talks or Union revolt will happen. The Gang at CNN may have to buy the GMs' to save their skin from embarrassment! Like Pentagon is buying VOLT.... with the taxpayer money... Liberalism at work...
You say a volt costs 85,000, I say the Bush ABMS costs $100billion and the F-35 which was invented by the Brits and now costs 1Trillion or 500Billion per plane ,also promoted by republicans seem to cost a lot more in republican defense department welfare. Both of these military gift projects don't work but are being deployed. Romney wants to put ABMS on the east coast to guard against Jamaica Missiles.
i am waiting to here from voters in mass. about what they thought of there then gov.rommey.thank you.
Wolf forgets than Prez Obama had to canx outside meeting with 65K people due to weather. He never mentioned that though...only that weather had an affect on GOP convention. Obvious bias from Blitzer.
arj, I think your statement is sipmly far too generalized. If what you say is true, then I, as a liberal who supports another candidate, will attack Romney's LDS belief as it is an easy target. To the contrary, Romney's religion is one of the few things I see in his favor. For starters, out of all the candidates, he's the least likely to be caught in a sex scandal (which is not to say that the other candidates are likely to be involved in such things, mind you). In fact, as I think about it, it's more Romney's failure to believe and follow his religion, that I would attack him on. Mormonism teaches that the U.S. Constitution is inspired, yet Romney seeks to violate it by restricting the civil rights of those who don't follow his code of sexual/relationship ethics. Mormonism teaches plural marriage, whether in this life or the next, while Romney can't imagine anything more awful. Romney has publicly denied and/or refuted a number of long-standing teachings within Mormonism. Further, Mormonism teaches honesty with one's fellow beings, while Romney has been caught in a number of outright falsehoods of late. Romney would frankly be a far better candidate, in my mind, if he actually believed in and lived Mormonism.
What is Wolf Blitzer's obsession with Bill Clinton. Clinton's speech was terrible. I almost fell asleep it was so long, boring, and wankish. The Democrats are trying to get the women's vote and talking about "Forward". Bill Clinton is the last person you want. He reminds people of the past and he reminds people of Monica. He's been impeached and disbarred, and proven to be a liar as much as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and her comment about Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren. Clinton called Romney a "stellar" businessman and warned against raising taxes on the rich.
wolf,i hear the candidates talk about bringing manufacturing back to our shores, but what about foriegn countries owning and operating our gas, electric, water, and communication companies. i am concerned with who really runs this country, the president, the people or big bussiness? i think our infrastructure is in danger.what do you think?
I'd like to know why the television media doesn't ever mention that almost two thirds of GM jobs are out-sourced to other countries and they are also working on being up and running in Russia by 2015. GM is also spending Billions to update the GM plants in Brazil.
To my knowledge, GM is also adding jobs here and quite a few.m I don't think we should have problems with overseas manufacturing as long as there are sales over there and they don't take advantage of tax allowances to unjustly reduce their U.S. income taxes. For example ,they must repost all profits to claim eenses. GM,evidently sells more cars in China than they do here, I don't believe they import them back here. gM has been manufacturing in Europe (Opel ) for decades.
Nearly two thirds of all GM jobs are in foreign countries and BILLIONS of the profits they are now getting thanks to taxpayer bailout; are being spend to enhance production in and start new production in foreign countries; including Russia. In all fairness; the article I read in Forbes about GM's yearend report for 2011 did say they managed to find 100 MILLION to spend on expansion in the US. (Hundreds of Billion – Russia, Brazil, Mexico) (100 Million – US) One might conclude that GM and President Obama are the kings of out-sourcing.
I don't read Forbes because they totally salivate at not paying any taxes due to Forbes flat tax (20%) for us and 0 capital gains for them. Remember, the Bush administration bailed out the banks and their bonuses and gave $162 billion to AIG that also sent much of it overseas. These people at Forbes ,WSJ , etc. are the only ones that made money during the first Busb stock market crash and the second stock market crash that led to this depression.
You have the right to your opinion, I have my own. The information about GM is from their own press release of their year end report. Since myself; my father and other family and friends worked in the auto industry; some at GM; others at Ford, we have a pretty good idea of what it feels like to have your factory shut down and your jobs shipped out of the country. Its been going on for decades. It is documented that GM invested more in foreign countries than in the US.
Mary, if your problem is that the automotive bailout saved millions of jobs, then you obviously missed W. Bush' s "I give up" talk on TV during the economic collapse. You also must have missed the Romney article where he wanted to just let the automotive industry just go to the pits.or Totally bankrupt. His vision was for the car companies to be broken up and sold to obviously China. That includes Ford plus about 3million jobs outsourced. Chevysand Fords would have been imported from China.
John; GM got a tax abatement with the bailout deal. Their profits won't be taxed for several years.
Mary,so did AIG! Their executives even got millions of tax payer money in bonuses under Bush/Paulson. What about all the trade agreements that Bush/Paulson made to China that sold us down the river to pay for the illegal, stupid Bush wars. You do realize that Bush and his neo-con cohorts are responsible for 94% of the national debt. They also gave the Chinese and Romney -Bain to shop and send plants and outsource jobs.
The auto industry used to manufacture most of the components needed to build their vehicles here. Gradually US plants are shut down and they move those operations to foreign countries where they can pay cheap labor. Then you bring the parts back to the US and assemble the vehicles. American asssembled , not American made. They all do it; but we didn't throw as much money at the others.
Well evidently there is still millions of parts jobs still here. The majur parts plants are independently owned. The laws favoring outsourcing jobs must be changed but republicans and gig business are blocking changes.
Comparative advantage will always lie with low wage countries when it comes to assembly. Who would want to pay US union wages when you could pay the Mexicans to make, say the Ford Fiesta outside Toluca, and then import them? All unions eventually kill the hosts on which they are parasitic. Better to buy a Kia made in a non-union plant in the USA.
Of course, the General Court holds the most power in this state when it comes to taxoaitn. A governor from a party that holds only a small minority of seats in that legislative body cannot be held accountable for that body's excesses.I'm no friend of Romney, but to pin any blame on him or give him credit, for that matter for a generalization concerning tax rates, is specious, IMHO.
Question: Would this be better to prevent political intrigue?
National Elections of 1788
In the first presidential election the legislatures in four states chose electors, while the people did in four others, and, in Massachusetts and New Hampshire electors were chosen by a combination of the people and the legislature. Each elector cast two votes for president. The candidate with the highest vote became president, and the candidate with the second highest vote became vice president. If no candidate received a majority, the House of Representatives decided the election, with each state having one vote. As Hamilton explained, this system would guarantee the high quality of candidates and prevent political intrigue. “A small number of persons, selected by their fellow-citizens from the general mass, will be most likely to possess the information and discernment requisite to so complicated an investigation.”

Stanley Elkins and Eric McKitrick, The Age of Federalism: The Early American Republic, 1788–1800 (New York: Oxford University Press, 1993);
Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay, The Federalist Papers, with introduction by Clinton Rossiter (New York: New American Library, 1961);
Eugene H. Roseboom and Alfred E. Eckes Jr., A History of Presidential Elections, fourth edition (New York: Collier, 1979).
I would like this question to be asked at the Presidential Debate to the candidates:
If the rules of 1788 remained that “The candidate with the highest vote became president, and the candidate with the second highest vote became vice president,” what policy would you want the Vice President to lead/achieve through Congress?
If elected, would you actually have the courage ask the defeated candidate to lead the effort?
And if defeated, would you actually have the courage to work to achieve the policy?
Wolf – Why in the world would CNN's Pierce Morgan have an interview with Paul Ryan during the DNC convention? I think that is outrageous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!CNN is suppose to be covering the Democratic National Convention – and NOT the GOP's whining Paul Ryan. The GOP had their turn and had four days of out and out lies – this week is the DNC's turn to shine – and I m ight add, the Dems are not NOT lying to the American people. Get the GOP and whining Paul Ryan off the air during the DNC coverage – CNN is suppose to be fair!
Well, 1/2 of Americans could care less what's going on at the DEM Convention so at least they're helping 1/2 of us see our guy!
Of course we all know that Romney still has his Bain HCInsurance paid for with blood money.ryan has his congressional HInsurance and he should take advantage of it by having his head examined for lying so much. I'm surprised that Wolf didn't ask Ryan what the voucher plan would cost? I've calculated it to be $95 billion/tear if only 20% of seniors opt for the plan. Obviously this money will come right off the top of Medicare's budget since the voucher plan is designed to bankrupt Medicare. Only very very healthy seniors will be allowed to use the vouchers until they get sick or get older(74) and get dropped. Then what? Will Medicare still be there to pick them up?
Wolf, How do you feel about BHO and the Dems pulling the rug out from under Israel? Do you think Iran will be allowed to go nuclear? Will the US do anything at all to help the Israelis stop Iran? An experienced "reporter" with a background in History and an MA in International Relations should have developed an opinion on this topic by now. What's stopping you from sharing that opinion with your viewers?
The thing you don't understand is that Israel cannot do it by themselves. It requires U.S. carriers and cruise missiles. Israel may have to fly over Turkey to get at Iran's mountain hole tomb. The Iranian's have submarines,mini-submarines, missile boats and short and mid-range rockets. Russia and China may have to respond as well. So what the Israelies want us to do is to bear the brunt of this problem. Turkey,by the way, is in NATO, so how are we to respond to both sides.
Syria is just one more scary place that Americans dare not go..yet the Democrats are not 100% supporting its contiguous, democratic neighbor, Israel? Removing Jerusalem as capital of Israel from the platform makes it clear to me. I'm an Independent voting for Romney, as of today. Same should go for you, Wolf, and everyone who understands how vicious and savage the Middle East.
Don't think you heard right. At the Dem convention they took a vote on this.
"I hope you really take notice, of the country you live in Wolfe! Jobs is not the answer to stability! Jobs is not the answer to your economy! Jobs is not the answer to happiness! The Skill to do those Jobs, is/ and can only be the answer. Even if they never work for the system, and only for themselves."
As we all know that a good story teller can make us cry telling even a fictitious story. Today I heard President Barack Obama saying he doesn't want his girls to hear when their mom speaking at the Democratic National Convention, as he doesn't want them to cry. Now my question is, how did President Obama know, she is going to make us cry? Is the First Lady's speech (Mitchell Obama's speech) that she is going to deliver today designed to make us cry?". Yes, she may have genuine stories to share with all of us today, but my suspicion grew when I heard President saying this. Are we going to be emotionally hijacked today? Hmmm...a big question mark.
What percentage of Americans could afford a college education without any form of government assistance including government backed loans? Would this be enough people to field and adequately trained workforce?
Would you please do a story of how and when Israel became a nuclear weapon state. Was any of it stolen from the US?
there need to be a way to talk to them no matter how the got what they now have. all the threats need to come off the table and away to discuss the delema all the nnations need to come together on this.
I agree. But we also need to address the double standards in coverage and censorship. Iran is not a nuclear state. Israel is a nuclear state (250 nuclear warheads), but does not admit, occupies its neighbors lands, it is violent colonial setller state and some of them call our Jesus a "monkey." All is asked for the media to show some integrity and say it (if they can and don't lose their job) as is. Thanks.
Please submit our question for review and consideration. Seniors need to receive a better return on their savings in order to financially survive. However, the interest rates on CD/IRA's have continued to fall – now below 1%. We realize that Social Security is not our only source of retirement income but we are no longer able to depend on the return of our savings to subsidize our income. Please advise why savings interest rates continue to fall. Could a higher rate be implemented for those over 65 without jeopardizing the improvement in the financial realm. We would appreciate hearing from the trusted and factual team at CNN. We are not the only people asking this vital question. Many thanks.
"I'm sick of chasing Videos, but maybe you can answer one question. 'Was that a true segment in one, just the other day of the Afghan Leader being on-side with Iran at the United Nations?"
Wolf, you were properly shocked when relating what Clint said, scolding him for disrespecting the president. Did you equally tsk tsk San Francisco when someone there reportedly named a sewer after president Bush? Did you react thus when Whoope Goldberg made coarse and obscene jokes about Bush? I don't recall your commenting on these base jokes. . . .
I'm so SICK of the tone of this election! Where is the civility? Both parties are spending millions discrediting each other and most thinking Americans know that both parties need everything they say to be fact checked! Thinking Americans know that whomever we put in the oval office will have to make cuts to mostly all entitlement programs! Less negativity and more substantive, positive discussions and less of CNN, FOX and MSNBC not being able to hold back their biases! The American people are begging you!
"I told one of your guys on the morning show, Wolfe. that I could create thousands of jobs, but they would mostly be Part-Time jobs to just get them off their backsides. You need to divide contracts to smaller business, instead of large cooperations who use overseas workers. I think thats what Romney means."
Are you kidding. Sub-divide contracts for what? Romney doesn't know anything about business. He is some kind of efficiency person that he admitted knows only how to read a spreadsheet. Romney has no plans for any thing except to cut government and jobs, he says he will kill the ACA which eliminates benefits for Medicare and increases longevity. He says he will increase taxes on everybody but the top 2%" this will cost millions of jobs due to decreases in DEMAND, Demand is the main driver of our economy. It has been predicted that if Romney/Ryan are elected then the U. s. will be dropped into it's worst depression going back to the end of the Bush years
There is only one thought that comes to mind when I think of Romney and Paul out of touch with the real world they think by going back to Bush and even further back to Ragon this will fix the problems Believe me it wont If people really thought this whole thing out there would be alot of people that would agree going backwards is not the answer Our president I'm sure dosent have all the answers to the fixing of our corrent delema. Making the whole ndeeper is not what we need Oboma is trying to fill the whole is bit by bit. If people in every walk of life would tighten there belt alittle we wold all benifet from it. but nif the middle class and poor tighten there belts and the wealthy loosen there belts . where mare we going to be. think about alittle and you will agree.
Everybody should watch the Democratic Convention this week because they should show the answer to 'Are you better off than you were 4 years ago" George Bush will answer the question himself on tape I bet. If you remember it was his "give up" speech calling our economy a disaster 4years ago.
Good News!!! A treatment has been found for the Romney-Ryan virus. The infected will need to be injected with several dosages daily of rational thought, logic and truth. Severe cases may need to receive hourly injections if also suffering from delusions of grandeur and/or delusions of persecution. Keep treating the infected until they can demonstrate a cognitive sense of reality by no longer seizing upon and promoting pipe dreams and imaginary saviors. Spread the word!
I just saw your interview with Paul Ryan and I was very disappointed. Twenty minutes or so before the interview you had Tom foreman on who explained about the closing of the GM plant, occurring for the most part in December 2008 before Obama took office. When you had the chance, why did you not confront Paul Ryan? You let him get off without even confronting him. No longer a reporter, but a mouthpiece for the RNC?
Wolfe, I believe that Mr. Romney, Mr. Ryan, and the christian right Republicans have forgotten at least one of the Ten Commandments – "Thou Shalt Not Bear False Witness Against Thy Neighbor." I am not saying that the Dems are lilly white either, but if being a Christian and being accepted into the elite Christian right of the Republican Party means that I have to double deal, lie, and distort the truth to achieve my end result, then I say it's not where I want to be. The Republican's biggest lie of all is that they proclaim to be Christians! Tell me why you, Wolfe Blitzer, and CNN does not call the Republicans down for the lies they throw out there – you certainly jump on anything President Obama says that you suspect might not be 100% factual.
you left out Huckapee! he is supposed to be some kind of minister. of course there is Romney who is a bishop in the Mormon Cult , who is trying to pass himself off as a Christian but isn;t. e lies like arug and has taught Ryan how to do tthe same.
Wolf, Ryan clearly lied today when blaming the GM plant clsing on Obama. When will you and CNN call him out on it.?
Wolfe you need too recheck the story you just told about the viewer sending in a picture of her house flooded by Issac in Fort Pierce Fl . Fort Pierce florida is on the EAST coast of florida south of daytona . That homeowner must live in a low lying area and flooded due to normal heavy summer rains . Don't think Issac reached that far.
I saw the sigment of your show with Donna Bazaille and Ann Navarro –
I so happy that Donna did not use politics or politize her talk about Issac – Issac 's rain that is poinding the coast
however your other speaker Ann Navarro could not wait to talk issac politics – she kept mentioning the President
and what he should do as the COMFORTER PRESIDENT As far as I know he is comforting and calling people in charge
I wish these commentars would not talk politicas when people are hurting.
"So! Wolfe. I slipped away last night, and watched some othe GOP Convention on CNN LIve. Lets hope I can slip into that same nitch again. Of course being where I am it takes a little extra. "
If the NO area had not been improved and the levees' had not been built, what kind of damage would the storm have on the surrounding population?
1 out of 6 Americans don't have enough money to buy their families enough food to be healthy. The money that is being spent on 2 campaigns and 2 conventions is HOW MANY MILLIONS?? It's OBSCENE, IMMORAL, OFFENSIVE, and HYPOCRITICAL. SHAME ON BOTH PARTIES FOR THIS DISPLAY OF ARROGANCE AND PRIDE AND GREED........God forgive them........just my opinion.
America's Choice 2012- What Choice?
Wolf, what is the matter is Dana Bash a no go zone? A bit of an embarasment. But it is true CNN complains about the GOP but has made their bed and now we all have to lay in it. Is this what democracy looks like? I am truly sad about both parties, the media and CNN.
I'll see Carlos' conspiracy thorey that the Brethren aren't helping Romney's case, and raise it. Maybe the Brethren don't want Romney to be president. Maybe he's supposed to be a mission president over the China Beijing Mission that they are going to announce in 2 years, that will eventually quadruple the membership of the Church. You heard it here first.(But seriously maybe the Brethren have surveyed the situation and want Guiliani to win the presidency, despite their stated claims of neutrality. And Monson is conducting sessions with Guiliani trying to tell him how to tell better anecdotes.)
Wolf, CNN's slogan Election Choice 2012 leaves me confused. Where is the choice? I am not voting for either President Obama or Mitt Romney!
Wolf, the GOP is acting as childish about Dr Ron Paul as CNN did through out the republican campaign with such reporters as Dana Bash. You have made your bed and unfortunately we now will be missing having the best choice for president not able to be elected. thank you GOP and CNN.
I believe that Ron Paul has the right to his opinions but God forbid either him or his son ever are taken seriously it is important that the military be reviewed by rational people because they have projects that are even dumber than the star wars projects of Reagon. The ABMSystem does not work and requires transducers on target missiles to hit anything and it looks like we have a trillion dollar plane that isn't anywhere near an air superiority fighter. Paul like all other republicans wants to destroy Medicare,SS and Medicaid all Americans should demand their money back with interest if they are successful
I saw NPR's senior news coroseprndent Daniel Shore speaking at a televised symposium once. He remarked how TV has changed America and especially American politics. How politics is no longer about reality as much as it is about the perception of reality. He gave a few stories about politicians with frank speech and strong personalities such as Kruschev, and Nixon. The sort of politicians you just don't see anymore.Politics has been largely whitewashed in today's environment. Politicians, sports figures, church leaders All of them, when in front of a camera, will devote the entire interview to speaking without really saying anything.
On the 27th, after Romney stated why he didn't sign an abortion bill, your asked Donna Brazile if she believed him. She replied it was just a political flipflop. Why didn't you also ask her about President Obama's gay marriage flipflop? It would have been totally appropriate, and had been mentioned by Romney in the same interview.
Mr. Blitzer, I don't know who was feeding you the questions while you were on the air interviewing Mr. Davis but I believe you need to stop for a minute and study the question before you parrot it out. Attacking a man for his political choice simply on the basis of his race is quite honestly out of line. Your question implies that he is not capable or entitled to be a Republican becaus he is not the right color. Is that really how you feel or is that what the person talking in your ear told you to ask?
"So, Wolfe (Ron Paul delegates)? Why would anybody want a loan they don't need, from a bank who want to pull strings?"
Hi Wolf, Could you possibly just have one day, one program, one interview, where the politicians respond without referencing the "other side"? Could we just once hear their complete response that represents their view?? We really want to hear! I get so tired of getting caught up in what one is saying, then, without completing practically one good paragraph, the little that they said gets "contrasted" with the other candidate's position! Can we sometimes do the contrasting for ourselves? I long for the day, the debate, that just fully gives us that side's "position". Leave it at that sometime!
Wolf, please ask Ms. Bondi or any other republican if a woman gets pregnant due to rape, and you (Bondi) say that you want an exception to allow for abortions in that situation. Why do you kill an innocent baby for being produced by rape, and not abort one that's not a product of rape? Neither baby had anything to do with either situation. Although rape is always a horrific experience, the baby is innocent & deserves a chance at life. The woman should carry it to term & if she doesn't want it (which is understandable), then she should give it up for adoption.
What I don't understand is the concern about Cutter when Romney can't say two words without lying twice. Ryan is a total hypocrite and currently is hiding his own beliefs behind the empty headed Romney. I thought we had enough of these kinds of people when Bush anCheney and Rice, and Rumsfeld left.
I can't help but wonder what LDS hope to gain by hianvg one of their fold in the White House. Do some of them hope that (Constitution be damned) he or she would enact their idea of deity's laws in the civil sphere? Do some think that an electoral college majority for an LDS candidate equals some sort of mainstream approval of the church? Do some think it's some sort of missionary tool?Or is it really just the equivalent of some overgrown high school pep rally, being able to send one from our team?
I`m curious since CNN and Fox have caught Stephanie Cutter lying why do you support her representing Mr. Obama? Is this what the Obama campaign stands for lying ( Stephanie Cutter ), Cheating ( Picking winners and losers ) and Stealing ( Solyndra ) ?
Is your latest CNN presidential pole post or pres Akin remarks on rape? Thanks.
Wolf CBS took that servay . The Polls by other show Rommey ahead or tie
Get your fact stright and look at other polls . You are all worried your rock star which you called
in 2008 is no longer a rock star and will lose this election. Their a new star and that is Paul Ryan.
If you are going to give perdiction on polls lookj at all of them.
please, give it up. all they want to do is go back to what got us in this mess to start with. some plan!!
"Well I am at Home. Wolfe, and most of my comments bomb with CNN, so nothing changes."
If you could see our country was in danger,of collapsing due to finacial problems and bad leadership, Would you forego the money the White House is giving you and or CNN to report other than what the White House wants you to, or would you still carry the water for the White House Like MSNBC doe's
Most of the ads on CNN are lying Romney ads that are actually buying the comments on CNN. Jerry, you obviously don't pay much attention. Because the panel discussions and analysts are all righties except maybe Bagala and Brazille.they constantly have two republicans to one maybe democrat on their panels.
