he would not totally rip the saetfy net out in one fell swoop because it would not be compassionate. He said generations have been nursed on these programs and are completely dependent and otherwise unable to care for themselves. But he would stop their growth and begin to lower the help they offer slowly so that people will make gradual transitions to more self sufficient means for their support such as civil and religious organizations which would push these folks to work. Families we begin to reconstitute themselves for their survival and make better decisions since the outcomes of those decisions would become more readily apparent. I guess I could go on forever but I hope that helps you a bit. I understand the internal struggle you may feel there. But we should not use the government to make people be righteous anymore than Satan could have offered to make us all return safely. We are each accountable for our own choices. Liberty is the key and we need to stand valiantly for it now, as we did in our first estate.

I commend Romney for doing the only thing that was cotinssent with his previous statements. (see No Apology)He is on the record for maintaining Defense spending at 4% of GDP, and this bill put that at risk. (See James Pethakoukis' remarks following his trip to China. "I'd hate to negotiate with them with anything other than military superiority.)He is on record that spending should be less than 20% of GDP. This bill cuts a scrawny $7 billion in 2012. It sends NO message to the businesses that DC is serious about reining in spending. It sends no message to the analysts, making capital more expensive. It is a jobs destroyer. He is on the record that he would NOT raise taxes, yet this agreement will likely do just that. Harry Reid is already backing away from the no taxes commitment. He did not grandstand the issue. He let the elected leaders work out the best compromise they could. And then he waited until it was reasonably assured that there would be enough support from both sides to pass it, avoiding default. But he also pinned the issue on Obama and his lack of leadership, and assured everyone that he would run against him on the issue of spending, taxes, and deficit.Well done, Governor Romney.

Romney embraces Al Gore and daecns holding hands around the Gaia idol. it worked to make Romney the media favorite. Wait till Romney explains that he only slightly embraces global warming. Prepare for the Romney dinner special consisting of chilled Obamacare accompanied by rewarmed Global Warming Lite. With Romney, our electric bills will only double, while only half as many illegals will be covered by a renamed Romneycare. We can enjoy the coming corn shortage and food price escalation, knowing that Romney wants to keep making ethanol. Could this break up the embrace of Romney and Gore?. After all, Gore admitted ethanol was only a 2000 campaign ploy for the early primary StatesRomney's made his bed and he can now lie in it.

Now that Obama, Pelosi and Ried have been proven as liars. They all categorically stated that this was "NOT A TAX", and are now claiming victory because the only way it constitutional is as a tax on people making less than $250K. They all need to be run out of office. CLEAN SWEEP.
