Town has plenty of jobs, nowhere to live

"Nowhere to live! When Obama is out on the street in November, will the wolf become extinct on CNN. It's getting harder and harder for kids to find a home these past two years, maybe it's time for a shake up of all situation rooms!"

I want to "Thank" Dan for the story about Williston ND. I have been a resident in Williston since August 5th 2003. Like so many who have come here, I too came to Williston for a job & when I got the job, I had to look for a place to live. It was much easier back in 2003 as the BOOM was not even happening then. Times are very different here now. Everyone who is here is looking for a "Miracle" for the right job, but the part that they don't understand is-getting that job is the easy part, finding a place to live isn't so easy. I am blessed everyday I have a chance to live here as I live in Low Income housing that is based on 30% of your income. I don't drive a car due to my health of my eyes so I have had to have my groceries delivered by a local grocery store. I am, however, annoyed that nothing was really talked about the crime that comes with all of the people here. I know it is "negative" but that part of the story must be told to anyone who still plans on coming here. If you have a criminal background, your chances of getting a job are limited. Just the other day I checked our Sex Offender list for Williams County & it is 11pages long & still growing with 90% of them from out-of-state. The point is: Dan's story was right on, but he missed a few points about the lines in the stores, food places that close early due to the lack of workers. It would be nice if CNN could speak to more locals so there voice can be heard too.
