Syrian rebels turn to homemade bombs

(CNN) - "These are the explosive devices, they are all made locally," Captain Daoud Hassan Mahmoud explains, crouching down and pointing to the metal cylinders, perhaps just 20cm in diameter - dozens of them are lined up next to each other.

The cylinders are packed with a deadly concoction of fertilizer, explosives and other chemicals bought from the local market.

    If we send in troops to Syria it will be another Iraq and Afghanistan we can not afford it. Egypt is falling apart and Libya also. Russia is wanting for us to go in, so they can send troops, let not forget China they would get into it also, they want oil and we want oil. Maybe WW111, boy that would be great!

    It is a sad situation over their but we have to stay out of it.We have lost way to many troops in Iraq and Afganistan.We do not need any more loss.Jim Thomas Phx.Az.
