CNN's Brian Todd reports on a newly-opened Mormon temple and interviews a church elder on posthumous baptisms.
RELATED: Taking a rare tour of a Mormon temple
There seems to be a lot of debate about weather one "faith" or other is appropriate for an elected offical, esp. The president. Wasn't this country founded on freedom of religion? Is modern conservative Christendom the new Church of England, there to decide how we all worshop? This seems like really obvious hypocisy to me.
That would be 'WHETHER' and 'HYPOCRISY! Try spell check, or better yet ...... !
Nice to have a news company that represents the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in an Honest way, asking its leaders not people who hate the church. Well done CNN!
It's amazing what you can buy when you don't pay taxes.
Thanks Brian for the good report. I am a Mormon and I say that any dialogue about our church is good. The church is misunderstood by a lot of people. I think it would be wonderful reporting if you would invetigate our church along with other religions of the world. Just a few sound bites about a religion will not give us much understanding. I would like for you to contact Dieter F. Uchtdorf in Salt Lake City and do a series of interviews. Here are a few statements that may wet your reporting appitite: Mormon church leaders do not get a pay check. The LDS church ownes the largest cattle ranch in America...Why? We have translated the Bible & The Book of Mormon into more than 160 languages. Over 50% of Mormons are non-english speaking. We have our own college and tec school loans available. We have a food bank in every area of our churches. The food is available to members and non-members. We spend millions of dollars in relief for people all over the world. We are a church of doing, not just hearing.
You will find out some wonderful things if you just take the time to investigate.
Its nice to see someone actually doing their research when reporting on the LDS faith (unlike the blatant lies reported by MSNBC).
