A U.S. soldier was executed inside Afghan's security headquarters, and an American family is demanding answers. CNN's Deborah Feyerick takes a closer look.
I'll explain it to you again. Every bullet, every grenade, Humvee, every single piece of military hardware used over there will have to be replaced and that costs money. Billions of dollars every year. Americans are not there because of the Taliban or freedom or any American corporate interests. You are there to keep the money moving. It really is that simple. I think it is so sad you just can't open your eyes enough to see it.
It does seem rather odd that a stmneaett in Farsi would be translated into what just happens to be a colloquial English idiom, and just happens to be used in American political discourse by redneck jingoists. It suggests there was an awful lot of - ahem - creative judgment involved in the translation.I do recall seeing a subsequent quote from Ahmedinejad in which he asked "You don't see the Soviet Union on maps today, do you?"
So we are going to have more vigilantes? This was a cultural thing not a race thing. You let your kid emmulate a ganster this happens. Now we have all these racists screaming racism.. The guy looked Hispanic to me not white yet This is claimed to be a white on black crime. Give me a break.
Someone in our government must tell us why we are really in Afghanistan! Lest our government remain silent we need to bring back our anti-war rallies of the Vietnam era. I remember them bwecause I stood in front of The White House during one of them.
This is all a big mess. But, the US has to show the Afgan people we don't protect killers. He should have stayed in Afganistan for trial. And IF found guilty, excuted in public. ( I know that sounds harsh) If we don't do this the ripples will go on for many, many years. The people of the countries we are liberting should not live in fear of the liberators. We have spent years there. We have spent BILLIONS of dollars there. We have spent the LIVES of many US soldiers.
We won't get any answers as obama runs with his tale between his legs.I wonder if afganistan will pay his family any big money. The SOB'sJim Thomas Phx.Az.
Unfortunately this situation is call guerrilla warfare like in Viet Nam we had people working for us in the compounds it will continued until we are out of there.
Sorry for the family's who have suffer lost.
Well it`s about time to pull out and leave things alone over there. The US government is not going to change the way these people see life they live a total different world than we do this is nothing but political. The US trying to force something down someone else` s throat. Get out !
