CNN's Brian Todd speaks with a security expert on how to prevent a school shooting.
RELATED STORY: Why does America lead the world in school shootings?
I vote that concealed carry be the norm at schools.whennsomebody is hell bent on killing they can kill fast especially in large institutions that can take precious time to search and secure. And the fact that my high school only has 2 SROs on duty means that if stuff does pop off students would be cattle for the slaughter. Even if there were increased chances for shootings, there are also more chances to save lives and the fact that they contain us in our classrooms does not help because then it is easy to divide and conquer especially if there are multiple threats on a minimal amount of students. The biggest class I have is 20 people. If stuff were to pop off, we would be screwed because even if a shooter was armed with what is allowed by such states as California (which is an abomination as far as its gun laws are concerned) which is 10 rounds, he can waste or wound all 20 of us. If there was a teacher wiith even such a gun as a38 snub nose, we would have a fighting chance. My 2 cents but I'm a student at a high school and would feel safer if there were a gun in every teachers desk
Guns will kill, children who are upset and currying guns will kill. When I serve in Viet Nam 1966 we could not have a load weapon unless fire on or receive a commend to lock and load, because of the all young privates who were 18 having accidents with gun and shooting other soldiers and themselves. As long as we Americans belief we have to have guns to protect are self the gun violence will continue.
Arizona wants to allow students and anybody else to pack a weapon.Completely stupid. The old west is coming back.It can never be stopped completely.Whoever votes yes for this dumb idea should be held and put on trial for murder.Jim Thomas Phx.Az.
Whose guns did the kids use? What will happen to the owners of those guns? How are these kids getting the guns? Take the guns away if the owners are not responsible and start punishing the owners.
