Wolf Blitzer asks Pres. Barack Obama about his reelection prospects. Watch the full interview at 6 pm ET on CNN's The Situation Room.
I don't think it's a risk anymore. He's proven what he can do and what he can't. His priorities aren't as bad as W's, but he lacks the focus to get this nation back where we should be. Maybe at this point we do need a "businessman" in office, not a career "politician"!!?? We certainly can't do much worse than we're already doing (we can, but I sure hope not much more). The US in in the hopper. The world disregards us. And our own local and national politicians are focused on re-election THE DAY AFTER THEY'RE SWORN IN. How can this system work? Answer: it's can't and they, Congress and the Senate, should all be excused of their duties and new-to-the field candidates sworn in and then we'll see how we do. Hell, Google has more wherewithal the the entire US Government.........wtf?!
FDR wasn't a businessman and look what he was able to do. He didn't have to deal with a congress controlled by an opposition determined to defeat him even if it means sinking the country with him.
i fear this president may be a one term president,,,maybe rick perry with his vast knowledge of job creation, should step up now, help OUR country and OUR president NOW.........talk is cheap!
Yeah.......OBAMMY would listen to Rick Perry......Jack, you probably are better qualified to be President than that blowhard.....
Obama has very little to worry about because reasonable people know that the President doesn't control the economy, world affairs, Congress, the price of gasoline, disasters, etc.. Those saying that he shoul be able to come up with magic bullets to fix things aren't being reasonable and aren't the majority; they are very vocal. Cooler heads say much less but quietly do the right and fair thing. That's Obama's big ace in the hole.
When is it going to be that people look at this buget problem as a whole. Its not just the Fed its the states and local goverments. There is nothing the goverment does that isnt laced with fraud, and the fraud is overlooked to substantiate someones job. I have watch the welfare office in my area for fact overlook the fraud and when I questioned it the responce was "well we wait for someone like you to report it and then we will investigate which could take 2-5 years" maybe they should take the time and check people first, stopping the problem instead of making it worse on the tax payers backs . 90% of the goverment is full of waist, cut the waist stream line programs for the ones who truely need them and stop this welfare country and stop stealing from my kids dear politicians. the least we could do is make anyone who is on a social program clean up there state for there benifits this would serve many purposes.
Oh really, B? Listen, YOUR state may be broke as a joke, but here in OK we are doing just fine. It's because we LIVE WITHIN OUR MEANS. So don't go spewing all your BS about "its the states fault", waaaa waaaa waaaaa
I have lots of waist, but I still don't have enough money. If you didn't notice this, that was a waistline.
I see Wolf and the President are going to have another softball game. In asking the President why his program has failed to improve the budget I hear how the President is the only adult in the room. He blames the Republicans for not giving him the votes he feels are necessary (something the Dems never did in Bush's last 2 years), those nasty head winds that nobody could suspect, the fact the states have woke up and are reducing the size of govt. So as the only adult he blames, blames, blame; much like my kids tried to do when they were young. After the first few innings of the softball game Wolf moves on to how a comment has disrespected the President (look back at the horrible statements the Dems made about Bush his last 3 or 4 years). So this is what CNN is trying to make the American people believe is balanced responsible news reporting? What nonsense. CNN has lost any claim at credit ability and that is why most people watch Fox.
CNN, you should pull that report Mary Snow just did on how the SF Federal Reserve believes they've proven that the US' trade relationship with China has been a net positive. Because to prove that the truth runs counterintuitive to conventional wisdom, you need to account for why conventional wisdom is misleading – and like the Dartmouth guy pointed out, you need only look at the job losses that have occurred as a result (as well as the decline in wages). There's also the humongous trade deficit that's resulted, as well as Government's need to run a deficit (funded by borrowed money from China) just to keep the economy from going into recession (which has been true since 2000.
Because otherwise all the SF Reserve has done is cherry-pick data to try and reinforce a world-view they wish were true, rather than shown what's actually there.
PS Also, please do something about Alex Castallianos' obvious shilling for Mitt Romney ... is he deliberately touting Romney because he believes Romney will likely win the nomination, and he's hoping to get a job in the Administration? He's just WAY too obvious with his favoratism ... over and above somebody who has a personal preference. It's just a waste of time ...
wolf you did it again, interrupting the republican every time he tried to speak. the democrat was never interrupted. wolf name your show wolf and the dnc voting show. put a poster of obama behind you and tell everyone up front who you are voting for. be a man an tell the truth about your support of all things liberal dnc.
