CNN's Brianna Keilar reports on President Obama's changing role in debt ceiling negotiations.
CNN is biased towards the administration. It is amazing to listen to commentators try to justify the financial irresponsibility of the Democrats and this administration., ie. particularly the attack on Republican congressmen with personal debt, Wolf. Big difference. The administration is wasting my money. Congressman are not asking me to pay for their personal debt. Your efforts to justify goernment waste and incompetence clearly shows you are not a news program. Let Nancy Pelosi pay $25,000 a quarter for flowers with her own money, not my children's college fund.
There's an old expression that goes something like this:
"You cannot get blood out of a turnip."
NO ONE likes the concept of taxation, but it is a necessary evil, just as sleep is a necessary evil.
It (sleep) deprives us of a third of our entire lives, yet it pays us the other two.
It (taxation) deprives us of some of our money, yet it paves the way for us to make the money in the first place.
What else can Obama say that he hasn't said dozens of times in order to get a semblance of sanity among Congress? s long as the Tea Party insists on destroying the American economy in order to save it and refusing more income to pay the national debt, only the Republicans can force them to give up their extremism and ignorance. The extreme left wing must also accept the fact that cuts must happen to all of us, no matter how much it hurts some people,
With all the talk of cutting benefits to medicare, and other programs, how come no one has suggested we stop paying members of Congress if we go into default? That threat might just get the die-hards ("my way or the highway") to reconsider their intractable stance and work out a coppromise that benefits all Americans..
