Please don't give these members air time to stand and say they will boycott a joint session speech by the President of the United States. They are the ones trying to get famous. Ignore them, let them stay home as they are obviously worthless anyway. Don't give them free air time, let them pay for it if they can't respect our President, whoever he or she may be.! Let's hope no one ever votes for them again, since they can't be bothered to come together to help these United States of America. Send them abroad to reap their ugliness.

I have to ask why you and the mainstream press are ignoring the attempts by Obama, his Wall Street Alumni and the Big Banks to let Wall Street off the meltdown hook with a slap on the wrist? They should be held totally accountable. These actions were not honest mistakes; they were carefully crafted schemes for separating every day Americans from their hard earned equity. This unprecedented level of fraud and upward wealth transfer unquestionably precipitated our financial crisis and must be fairly and fully punished.
Nothing less than full restitution and large punitive damages is acceptable. The bonuses paid for complicity in this massive fraud must be completely recovered, and the American people must be made whole. Recovering this money from those who stole it and returning it to those who earned it would have a major positive impact on consumer spending, jobs and the economy. Why are you letting this critically important story die the death of silence.

Until Congress holds people responsible for war crimes, treason and other crimes, the status quo will continue. Not one has been charged in the financial fraud/fiasco, such as the ratings companies that gave AAA or good ratings on the products that ended up destroying the housing and other markets!! We also should go after those legally responsible for enforcing our laws that would open up 8 million jobs that illegals have so our unemployed can get back to work and get OUR economy back on track!! Instead of Obama telling ICE to do their job, he tells them to use "prosecutorial discretion" which gives 19 reasons for illegals to stay and take jobs and much needed resources from legal immigrants and citizens!, costing billions in costs and billions in lost revenue of our unemployed, states and homeowners!!

    I'm A Recovering Blamer.

I use to blame everything on others so much I thought I might be a Republican. What ever it was that went wrong it was others faults, I never claimed responsibility for anything that went wrong and claimed credit for things that went well. That was over 32 years ago when I stopped drinking. Alcoholism ran rampant in my genetic family tree. Now I am a truly grateful recovering alcoholic. Blaming others and not accepting responsibility is a personality trait as well as being selfish, and not caring about others. Sounds like Congress. Over the years, I learned to accept responsibility for my own behavior and not blame others. The amazing thing about blaming others is not reality based, but hearsay and unfounded opinions. My receiving my Masters Degree in Social Work, I learned about humans behavior especially my own. I have been working, on, my personal growth and I found I was like the wilder beast that follows the heard in front of them even if they go over a cliff. I found myself like that with the majority of other Americans that blame Congress and the White House for all that goes wrong in American, I found I was blaming the wrong people with no real facts.

    The Voters and the Media
bears responsibility for dysfunctional selfish, self-seeking government.

A government that has brought many Americans to their knees and a world opinions at its lowest since 1776. Those that are responsible for the 535 voting member's of Congress, are the voters, about 48% of the voters in the lower house elections, 1960–1995, The lowest percentage in the World, and 63% of the voters for United States 2008 presidential election. Those that blame Government the most is the "middle-class" that is 72% of population.

The other responsible for the failing of government is...

    The "Big Six" Media Corporations.
News Corporation, CBS Corporation, Viacom, Walt Disney Company, General Electric, and Time Warner are the largest media conglomerate in the world. Their 1"holdings including CNN, the CW (a joint venture with CBS), HBO, Cinemax, Cartoon Network, TBS, TNT, America Online, MapQuest, Moviefone"1http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_media_(United_States," Warner Bros. Pictures, Castle Rock and New Line Cinema, and more than 150 magazines including Time, Sports Illustrated, Fortune, Marie Claire and People. 1"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_media_(United_States)," The Big Six Cable TV Print Telecom Radio. They massed over $250 Billion dollars collectively. They decide what "Main Street" Americans see. CNN leads the pack in the political arena. For decades, CNN only shown wealthy "upper-class candidates for President, never showing a "middle-class" candidate. Do you think they want to the "middle-class" to see one of their own? So the voters see wealthy "upper-class Candidates and their propaganda videos that contain information their employees researched to find out what the voters want to hear to win their votes. So like every election the "middle-class" will vote in another "upper-class" politician and complain about the Government failing, and they do this over and over. Like when I drank, I said I will stop doing this stupid thing, but I did it nor stop for 20 years, till I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. So the "Main Street voters are just like an alcoholic in that they keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. I wonder when they will get sick and tired of being sick and tired and recover. What a perfect match, the voters like alcoholics act out on false information and put in politicians that act out like alcoholics concerned only for themselves and their "upper-class" members. Before i forget, The 252 Millionaires in Congress want to thank you for your votes and want to say, "We live, in the great Country, in the World." So if voters to help American and improve the Government, here are some guidelines.
It's tough I know because a Politician running for office is just like an alcoholic, it's obvious when they lies their lips move.

    Negative Factors of Potential Candidates.

    1. Was or is a politician. Thinks like a politician.
    2. From the "upper-class" Cannot view or hear the "middle Class."
    3. Make foolish or traditional political rhetorical propaganda statement like Mitt Romney, "We live in the greatest country in the world." He lives in multi-million dollar estates and enjoys elite life style. Sara Palin saying, "Remember us little people." Does she mean dwarfs and midgets that choose to be called "little People." Do you think she means us "main Street" people as "lower-class" than her "upper-class" status?
    4. Mostly negative campaigns using negative tactics and blaming opponents for failures.
    5. Say we have to have our Military in Islamic countries. They also says we are fighting for their liberty or our freedom. To catch a few hundred terrorists that are not based in any one country is a lie. Dick Chaney's, 1991 policy he wrote for world dominance.

    6. Thinks Government should cut programs that support the majority, like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security.

    7. Pro-Military budget increases. They have been raised last 10 years, US Military almost 50% of the whole world military budget. We are 600% higher than China that comes in second.
    8. Does not sound like a real person but a typical politician with speeches written for them.

The media and the political propaganda machine have told you that an independent President would not work. The media do not give equal time to "middle-class" presidential candidates.” middle-class" Can make a difference, and insist that CNN give equal time to them even if they are not wealthy. China media and government controls what their people see and hear.
Enter in Google search, "www.charlesharveyforpresident.com." I take dominate the first 2 pages and CNN knows I am running as I have posted with all major CNN staff online. Ask yourself why not give un-wealthy "middle-Class" candidates equal time.

Next article will be on us Blaming the Oil Companies for High Prices at the Gas Pumps.

I'm glad that many Americans are telling Congress how they feel. Representatives of both parties only seem to listen if you give them money. Under Republicans, government is run by business to increase profits at any cost and most Americans suffer. After Republicans run up the national debt, then voters elect a Dem to try to fix it, then we become angry at the Dem for being spineless in a fight with the always partisan Republicans. That's the pattern.

My God we never shut up. Always saying "we live in the greatest Country in the World" or we spend weeks saying Standards Poor's is not right. Look around The majority of Americans butts are hanging out, 9% plus employment. Blowing money on wars we started and invaded Islamic countries to liberate them, LOL. When is our Government going to liberate the "lower-class Americans". The Upper-Class including all of Congress have it made,. The have money, homes, great health plans. But want to cut medicare, Medicare, and Social Security, All things the" Upper-Class"
do not need. The need Money for wars and money to give to Islamic Countries, and they need "Pork" Oh and they need another Space ship in case they have to make a quick get aways. it's like the nostalgia of living as a pheasants in the Roman Empire of American i that American is following to the letter. Two thing our Government will loose, is their false-pride and no accepting responsibilities.

S&P is right, resurrecting our economy requires all options on the table

S&P's bogus and possibly fraudulent ratings cost America and Americans
untold losses. In aggregate, this is arguably many trillions of dollars.

I think it is time the Department of Justice began immediate and
aggressive actions to recoup all of the losses created by those
individuals and institutions complicit in the events leading up to the
    2008 meltdown.

Making those they fraudulently destroyed whole would go a long way toward solving our country's financial woes.

A question was asked: "What does the supper elite have for dinner?" I will give you a typical dinner the Supper-Elite enjoy when they have a few whos who, over for Dinner'.

They would most likly start off with serving Champagne as the apéritif, instead of hors d’oeuvres. To relax their guest that did not have a hard day at the office. The Champagne would be Champagne G.H. Mumm 1998 Brut R. Lalou Cuvée Prestige, or possibly Champagne Henriot Cuvée des Enchanteleurs 1996.

An Eleven course meal may seem extravagance to many, but this Menu would please their guest.

Creme brulee of foie gras with Tonga beans 1990 Louis Roederer Cristal

Tartar of Kobe beef with Imperial Beluga caviar and Belon oyster 1995 Krug Clos du Mesnil

Mousseline of "pattes rouges" crayfish with morel infusion 2000 Corton Charlemagne

An Open Letter to Every Member of the U.S. Congress:

So you can just walk away and go about your personal business after stirring up this hornet's nest? You can blithely board your plane and get on with your plans for the next campaign, or whatever other self-serving goals you may have?
After all of the childish tantrums and fighting and yelling about who is harming our beloved country the most you can take a billion dollars out of its already-shrunken pockets, just in the FAA debacle alone?
I can hear it now: "it's his fault, her fault, the other party's fault", more infantile prattling, and on this subject I would concede that I would probably place a major part of the blame on the people who came to Washington breathing fire and not willing to consider that they and their fellow travelers were not the only ones on the planet. I also blame those rich and powerful people taking advantage of the naivete of the thousands who may have never had a political thought in their lives up to the time when the Tea Party was devised.
I'm 77, female, white, registered as an independent voter, and absolutely furious with all of you. I would never support any effort to turn every one of you out of office at the same time, for obvious reasons, but not because you don't deserve to have that happen.

I am just as furios as you and most Americans with our Government's lack of professionalism, ethics and responsibility. I am tired to hear politicians tell us that they understand why we are so angry... their mouths are moving saying "Poly wants a cracker"... They simply don't get it..! Even if they say "I get it, I understand"... They stopped using the brain to help us collectivelly quite some time ago.
Part of the mass started when the two parties formed the friendly perpetual agreement that it is OK to disagree, as long as neither fixes anything anyway and take turns. The slurry mass was in the drain for a long time and the nasty stuff was revolving faster and closer to the drain hole. The sewer eventually plugged the plumbing.
The Tea Party came along "to fix Washington" (the blind leading the blind) and in the middle of all their screams, yelling, accusations, finger pointing, speaking out of both sides of the mouth and chaos, no sense of direction...the drain got super backed up..! The committee in charge of designing a horse accomplished a camel..!
So the two major parties doing business as usual and the new screaming neophites screaming just to listen to themselves...produced the unecessary crisis we just experienced.
Every nation deserves the Government they have. When people tolerate, encourage, support bad politicians, when voters lie to themselves and rationalize thinking that their representative should stay to produce more pork... the people need to shut up and accept what they created collectivelly.
If we were all really honest with ourselves, if we were Americans using our brain and respecting out Constitution, we would vote OUT every single politician, however, that will not happen since people cheat, lie to themselves, rationalize and have agendas... Shame, shame, we live wasting the best Nation in the World. This is what our children will accuse us os, second only to the National Debt.
SO PEOPLE, THIS IS WHY WE KEEP GETTING MORE OF THE SAME, AGAIN AND AGAIN, WE PRODUCE IT.

It has been evident for 30 years that "upper-class politicians voted into the both Houses and the White House has been a failure for 80% of middle Americans. Those that have benefited has been only the minority of the most wealthy and the "upper-class, and all those in Congress in both the Senate and House of Representatives are from the "upper-class." Here, is a short list of what the "upper-class' Politicians of both parties have done for "Main Street" USA that include the 'Middle-Class," the "Working-Class,"and the Poor, and the 50 million Americans that receive Social Security.

Charles Harvey, The "The Middle-Class" Man That Can.

    1. Allowed tax loop holes for leading corporations like GE that profited over $14. Billion and paid not taxes.
    2. Tax breaks for the wealthy.
    3. allowed offshore banking.
    4. Allowed American companies to outsource hundreds of thousands of jobs to foreign countries.
    5. Allowed American companies to outsource manufacturing.
    6. Allowed Wall Street to be unregulated even after proof provided of illegalities.
    7. Allowed Ear-markings-"Pork" $60.billion in 2010, billions every year.
    8. Allowed Military Budget to be raised last 10 years. A budget, that is almost half of the entire worlds military budgets. 600% higher that the 2ND highest military budget, China.
Read and you will know Why: "Dick Cheney's song of America: Drafting a plan for global dominance."

    http://charliebigfeet.blogspot.com/2011/07/dick-cheneys-song-of-america-drafting.html

They say they need it for wars. Wars we created. We could have had 500 Special Forces like Seal Team #6, to hunt down key terrorist Globally since they were not in Iraq till we invaded. The few In Afghanistan fled to the hills after we invaded in a large force to the hills and then to Pakistan where bin ladin lived for 5 years. Besides causing thousands of Americans and allies lives, also over, 200.000 civilian lives lost by the US presence in the foreign country. Plus billions of dollars wasted on unnecessary wars.
    9. Approved billions of dollars funding to Islamic countries that call us infidels.
    10. They pretend that no increasing taxes is for us lower class when in fact, it his to protect the 6% of society the wealthy. They propagandize that if we give tax breaks to the rich they will but their money back into the American to create jobs, instead put the money into their portfolios.
    11. After working on the budget deficit decide to go on 5 weeks vacation and not stay a little longer to keep FAA open and not pay over 70.000 employees, That Senator Harry Reid could have called a session to keep FAA open. Well, maybe when they get back off their well deserved vacation, they will put it on their agenda. Maybe, the 7,000 can buy a turkey for Thanksgiving.

there are many more, but that is some of the main stupid decisions the "Upper_Class" politicians, "We the People" voted for. So when we point your finger at them, remember that 3 fingers are pointing back at us. Would any "middle-class" person with average intelligence make the same decision listed above? No, they would use commonsense decisions best for America and the "middle-class." If a person has ever seen feel good movies like, ‘Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,' and ‘Dave.' it is about ordinary people from the "middle-class" that go to Washington and make incredible commonsense decision best for the majority of "main street" America, not "wall" street? That can happen, and I am the "unknown man that can, from middle class.' Charles Harvey. "http://www.charlesharveyforpresident.com. Also listed on, "http://2012.presidential-candidates.org," along with the candidates, seen on CNN including, Mitt Romney, Sara Palin, Michele Bachmann, and Obama. Media will not give me any coverage because I am not wealthy or well know and come from the "middle class." Sound like the way China handles the media that show what they want the masses to see.

Please notice that GOP wants to cut programs and reduce funding on everything that benifits the poor,"working-class" "middle-class: and retired, alll programs that Congress, Majority "upper-class" that have no need for all those programs that benifit over 90% of the Americans population. Do the math, Middle-Class takes up 72% of the population alone. The reasons, why program that benifit the "lower-classes "by "upper-class" policy makers, is a subject not brought up by CNN, owed by time warner and part owed by GE, and both are part of the "big Six"media Corporations that control what the "lower-classes" see, read, and hear. Media (part of the "Upper-Class, and Elite) think we are imbasels. CNN will not even give the time of the day to a "middle-Class" presidential candidate, Unless they are wealthy, well supported, or a politician. Do you know many Politicians that are "middle- Class?" Congress has over 253 millionaire alone. 435 plus 6 non-voting members inUnited 1States House of Representatives and 100 in the United States Senate. For a total, of 535 memebers in both houses. My God, that is almost half of our Congress that live well and do not need the service they cut for the Little People as Sara palin stated: "Remember us "little people."and she was not referrring to "midgets and "dwarfs."That is the mentality of the "upper class politicians. You are absolultley right I had a neighbor who was in congress and he is from Tennessee and soon after he took office he built a new fence inground pool and pool house, and only did one term and now he has a cadillac retirement. That is the reason why these people run for office it is the perks not to help the people in their district. It is all about the money that they get for doing absolutely nothing but fight each other while there are people in this country starving of hunger, they all need to get pink slips because they are not doing what the voters want who put them in there. They talk about health care they don't even pay for theirs and they don't pay into social security, thats is why they don't care about hurting the elderly on social securty and medicare. They are the ones who need pay cuts and they take more vacation then anyone who works in private secture because if they did they would be fired.

I think that it is critical to get to the core of issues before we take positions about them.

The Stock Market is not the economy, nor is Wall Street its engine. In reality the Market is really a collection of bookies who thrive on chaos and always win at the American people's expense. To use it as a barometer of economic health is pure folly.

Wall Street's financial institutions have endlessly proven that their interests run counter to those of the American people. We should be viewing them as a viewing glass into the causes of our economic problems, and as the place to look for the solution.

The rating agencies are arguably the primary cause of the meltdown, and now they are a gun at the head of our worldwide credit worthiness.

It is time we recognize this group for what they are, and it is not the guardians of our country and its economy.

Its a simple fact, big corporates are either not creating new jobs, or the
are being paid by the government to ship them offshore. The banks we gave
hundreds of billions of dollars to in order for them to recover from their
fraudulent activities are unwilling to offer loans to the real corporate
job creators, small businesses, no matter how worthy they are.

In spite of the fact that the re-creation of good paying onshore jobs is
one of the best ways to create more good paying onshore jobs, Congress has
done virtually nothing to start this ball rolling.

One thing that you can do which would create nearly instant results is to
curb commodities speculation. On the very day rules rolling back allowable
speculation to 1990 levels go into effect, commodities prices, including
consumer items like food and fuel would begin a dramatic drop. This would
be a huge stimulus to both businesses and American households.

Unlike the very wealthy whose money is largely tied up in speculative
investments, most of this effective increase in working class
discretionary income would be immediately returned to the economy and help
    generate jobs.

Why is this hugely important rollback being left in the hands of the CFTC,
who's clearly demonstrated primary interest is protecting the commodities
trading community. Why are they being allowed to drag their feet on
    implementation of Dodd – Frank?

The faster these changes go into effect, the sooner the lives of all
    Americans will improve.

Harry Reid was to tired to stay a few hours more to make sure 70,000 families got paid and flying safe. I did not make this up. Enjoy your flights. Congress are the most selfish SOBs on the planet.

Join a Third Party and run for office. All of you. Once in, start repealing all that trash legislation giving welfare to big business.
Given that non-financial companies are sitting on two trillion dollars of inert cash and other liquid assets, these behemoths need to disgorge ten percent in immediate special dividends to their long-parched shareholders who are, after all, their owners. Loosening the executive locks on this hoard of money would provide $200 billion for more likely spending in the market place. Companies like Apple, Google, Cisco, Intel and Microsoft alone are sitting on well over $200 billion cash. They blame shareholders for their midbehavior but they also abuse their shareholders. The CEOs are trashing all evenly.

The Super Wealthy got everything they wanted, no questions asked, with the "TARP-Banks-Wall Street-Auto Industry" bailouts. The Super Wealthy got a humongous Welfare Check last December when the Bush Tax Breaks for the Super Wealthy was renewed. And NOW, we are told, they are getting everything they wanted yet again, namely, a complete exemption from having to share in the onerous burden of reducing the deficit, because there's no potential here for a roll-back of their Bush Tax Breaks (Welfare Benefits) for the wealthy.

The U.S. media refuses to even deem this to be significant, probably because THEY benefit tremendously from those "Welfare for the Wealthy" hand-outs and they surreptitiously silence the issue by shifting focus to the "Default Crisis" – with the curt remark "something for everyone to hate," and with the errant national anthem "pass anything – anything is better than default." Well there's nothing in this plan for the Super Wealthy to "hate." The super wealthy are the only ones being rigorously represented in Congress, in the White House or in the media.

I thought there were solid reasons why the forefathers defined the three branches of Government and the makeup of Congress the way they did, but apparently you and the rich and powerful disagree. I looked through the Constitution and found absolutely no reference to creation of a Supercongress with super powers whose actions can only be superseded by the President.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but shouldn't a move like this be the result of a Constitutional rewrite rather than a massive scare tactics campaign and a closed door session? But I'm sure that if need be, the Supreme Court will provide a work around to accommodate that small detail.
I feel like I went to sleep a few years ago proud to be part of the world’s greatest democracy and woke up to see an unholy marriage of corporate power and government that looks depressingly similar to a fascist state. Mr. Obama, what have you done to my country?

I'm out $46,000 because of this debt ceiling debacle. Since early July US bank has been processing a mortgage refinance application I submitted to reduce my interest rate. US Bank repeatedly assured me, after reviewing my income & debt, that I qualifed for the refinancing. So I paid the $350 application fee ...and was told the documents provide additional assurance that I qualify. So I paid $625 for an appraisal and was told the application was proaceeding without incident. Then the budget/debt ceiling negotiations fell apart & became front page news. And unexplicable, on July 28, US Bank called to say I do not qualify for the loan. No explanation as to why or how things changed. My sole source of income is a US government pension...which is at risk & dependent on the debt ceiling. So the way I see it is that US Bank isn't waiting for the August 2 deadline. They're acting now...to protect their interests. Shame on the US government & the US Bank.

We must overcome the polarization / gridlock in our Federal Government if we are to avert financial disaster. I am deeply troubled by the inability of leaders in the United States to reach a compromise on the US Debt Ceiling. If they lose their way and they don't act soon in the best interests of the people, everyone will pay for this. "Help Us Find Some Common Ground" on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/DougAdair#p/a/u/1/CRGPtD1RIaA speaks directly to this dilemma. I hope this song provides some inspiration to "put our differences aside and start a new revolution". Perhaps we need to erect huge sound systems outside the US Capitol and the White House and blast "Help Us Find Some Common Ground" over and over and over until the Congress and the President take action to avert the impending financial crisis—the same way that loud music is often used to quell prison riots and end hostage situations (like the one all of us are in right now).

Please Remember that until 1945, after the death of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's Fourth Term, American changed from It's about WE, to it's about ME. It is like the wealthy 6% that run our Country care less for us middle class that make up 72% of our population. And the Middle Class will go to the polls and vote in another wealthy "upper Class" President. So I guess us "Middle Class" should sit down and shut up. We put them in. I am a well educated "middle Class" Candidate running for President in 2012. have you see or read about me? No, Because all the media is controlled by the 6% wealthy that do not want "middle class" seeing one of their own, they might put him in office and that would make the wealthy very unhappy. All I can say is the Republicans are holding the American economy hostage. Osma Bin Laden wanted to ruin this country, financially, well the Tea Party Terrorists are doing his bidding. Now is not the time for balance budget amendments, budget cuts, etc. that should be talked about during budget negotiations... now is the time to pay the debts that America OWES. This is not new debt so, If we are not a nation of our word, then what kind of people are we!

    July 29, 2011 at 5:49 pm |

I agree, Mary. The tea party is holding its own party hostage. I voted republican but had no idea it would lead to this. I hear from the tea party candidates that they want to run our country's finances as they run their own family's finances. This shows how their inexperienced. Making all these cut without dropping the Bush tax cuts will lead to more job losses. Cutting funds mean cutting jobs. The country was slowly recovering from the financial crisis. Trust was coming back. All the negative rhetoric from the tea party is bringing back fear. Most economists state that fear is what negatively affects the positive trend in in the economy.
The tea party is hurting the country.

you do realize BUSH was the one who signed most of those Bailouts prior to leaving Office right? And the simple FACT that regardless Of the spending that was/has been done, It wouldnt have been a Problem if the Revenue had been there, which was Bush's doing with ihs Tax cuts/breaks for the Rich and super rich. When Bush too office he had a SURPLUS, yet he ran up a $6Trill. debt. While when Obama took Office He had the Massive Debt Bush brought on with his Cuts, and Wars. While also having to "TRY" and bring the Country out of recession brought on by Bush's Lack of regulations, and Corporate Welfare. I know Obama has Spent a Large amount of funds, but it was to try and Get us Out of the Ditch Bush drove us into. So blaming Obama is ludicrous...

You mean you believe the Blank check Comment? You do realize that the Debt ceiling hike has NOTHING to do with spending more Money right? It is Strictly to Pay the Bills for what Congress "GOP Controlled" has already spent. Also you do realize If the US defaults, $40.00 for a loaf of bread will be a great bargain right? Its what they're trying to stop from happening. Why not ask the GOP reps. why they are willing to vote Yes to Every debt increase prior to this one, when, MOST where just one line bills, No Cuts etc. Besides the FACT that when you cut Revenue "Bush Tax breaks" you put the Country Farther into debt. Prior to this 6 month plan from the GOP, there has NEVER been a Debt increase shorter then a year. It doesn't take common sense to see what the GOP are trying to do. If they only extend it 6 months then we have this same battle during an election year, and what better to take the Peoples minds off all the BS the GOP has been doing but another argument over the Debt limit. It is actually pretty simple, They are trying to say they wanna cut the Budget, yet they've ALREADY past it. If they wanted to save money, then they shouldn't have agreed to spend so much "yep the GOP passed the Spending bill back in May". The Debt limit has NOTHING to do with spending, It is strictly about Paying the debt that Congress has already Used. But you wont get a single GOP member to admit to that, because they're NOT going to admit, that they already had their Chance and blew it. Now they're just trying to make Obama look as bad as possible with this, before the next election. The Proof is there when the Dems offered a deal that was EXACTLY what the GOP asked for at the Beginning, "All Cuts, No revenue, no Increase of Taxes" yet they said No?? Maybe you should be listening to Rush and watching Fox News so much. Go do YOUR Own investigating, quit relying on Liars to tell you the truth.
