Our current laws are outdated. Our states could increase revenue, close their deficits, create jobs, save lives, stop the flow of pot from Mexico and elsewhere, and reduce the prison population. Its a no-brainer to give the states the choice. Its refreshing to hear someone on the right saying ANYTHING about creating jobs and increasing revenues. Cutting spending is only half of the picture.

Please, lets all get behind this bill and support it. So many wise people have sung the praises of the marijauna plant for so many uses from hemp for fibers for paper and clothes and even biofuel and replacing oxygen to our planet to unparalleled safety and effectiveness as a medicine. The great, late Carl Sagan thought it was criminal that this wonderful plant has been villified and people are denied its benefits. President Jimmy Carter has declared that war on this plant has caused so many horrible problems and strengthened drug lords and weakened our prison systems with unjustly locking up innocent people and ruining lives, most of whom are young! It's time to wake up to the lies that our government and pharmaceutical corporations have been making for decades about this wonderful, natural plant and endorse it. If deadly substances like tobacco and alcohol are legal how can they justify making marijauna illegal when it is so safe and effective and a benefit to mankind!!!!

I SO AGREE with Tom and Nancy. ESPECIALLY the last sentence of Nancy's statement. I listened to the video and there was a statement made about Marijauna and Fatal Accidents. When and Where has there EVER been a fatal accident that JUST DELT with marijauna?? I have NEVER heard that or have NEVER seen anything on the news, and trust you me, I watch A LOT of news because my Husband is a news addict. Can we find out the percentage of accidents from alcohol AND marijauna and find out what is the worse of the 2. You can be ASSURED, alcohol accidents will TRUMP marijauna accidents!!!
